Dive into an incredible adventure in Pokémon Omega Ruby on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS! Experience a fresh take on the world first found in Pokémon Ruby Version, which came out for Game Boy Advance in 2003. With enhanced graphics and all-new content, get set to prove you’re the best Pokémon Trainer in the region, as you capture, train and battle with your Pokémon in this engrossing RPG!
Take a journey through the Hoenn region, where two large organisations with opposing aims are locked in struggle: Team Magma and Team Aqua. Team Magma wishes to expand the landmass in the Hoenn region, while Team Aqua seeks to raise the oceans. In Pokémon Omega Ruby, Team Magma holds more power, while Team Aqua plays the more prominent role in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Whichever version you pick, you’ll find yourself drawn into the heart of the conflict!
The story starts when you move to Littleroot Town: you’ll get to choose from three Pokémon for your first partner. Every Pokémon has a type, and you can choose between the Grass-type Treecko, the Fire-type Torchic and the Water-type Mudkip. Whichever you pick, raising your Pokémon with care is always important if you want a powerful partner – it might be able to pull off a fantastic Mega Evolution in the right circumstances, allowing it to tap into even greater strength! Keep an eye out for two new Legendary Pokémon called Groudon, who created the land, and Kyogre, who created the seas, too. Each has a newly revealed transformation known as Primal Reversion!
One way to develop a deep bond with your Pokémon is the Pokémon-Amie feature, which lets you get closer to your Pokémon by stroking them, playing games with them, and feeding them special snacks called Poké Puffs. The more you care for your Pokémon, the better they perform. Beyond battles, you can also show off your Pokémon in Pokémon Contest Spectaculars to see who has the most appeal across five categories: Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Cleverness and Toughness. Keep winning your way through the ranks while aiming for the Master Rank!
Of course, you’re not alone in the Hoenn region, as there are many other Pokémon Trainers. They’re all aiming to become the best of the best: the Champion. To take that crown for yourself, you must challenge each of the Gym Leaders you encounter to earn Gym Badges. Obtain all eight, and you’ll be able to face the Pokémon League, where you'll challenge the Elite Four, and eventually, the Champion themself!
During your journey, you'll be able to create your very own Super-Secret Base, a space that's all your own. But that's not even the best part – you'll be able to connect with other players around the world to share your Super-Secret Bases! If you find base owners that you like, you can scout them as one of your Secret Pals. Once you've become Secret Pals, your Pal can use ‘special skills’ to support you on your adventure. You can also prove your skills online by battling Trainers through the Player Search System (PSS). For a different challenge, opt for 2 vs. 2 or even 3 vs. 3 battles, and trade Pokémon with other Trainers from around the world!
With new Mega Evolutions, classic online battles, and a total graphical overhaul, epic RPG action awaits in Pokémon Omega Ruby, only on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS!

Other than creating hilarious meme over the internet, this game is a great and really faithful remake of the original Pokemon Sapphire game from Gameboy Advance. There are some major changes, though, like the amazing graphics from X/Y Pokemon game and all of the improvements of it. You have mega evolutions, too! With all of that, it feels nearly like a brand new game instead of a remake, thanks to the graphics overhaul and battles look just as good and feel as engaging as in X/Y. There are some new things also, like dexnav, which works like poke radar, but this one is more fun to use because you can sneak to Pokemon now, which lowers a chance of an encounter. There is also Soar ability, which is really great and fun to use and makes fly pointless. If you played Sapphire on Gameboy Advance, you still can get a lot of enjoyment from this game, because of how fresh it feels. If you never played Pokemon, it's as good of a starting point as any. Great music, great graphics, awesome gameplay and a good selection of Pokemon. What more can you ask for? Strongly recommended.
