Missed the game a long time ago, so I bought it recently and I'm playing it right now. Played tons of RPG classic games and I can say that this game sticks to the RPG rules. Character creation is great, but a little messy. You've got all sorts of skills available and I can say that it hits the spot. Wandering through the realm is also pretty good as well as orientation and characters. Now, we've come to the most important part - THE COMBAT. And it's not what I would say good interface. Graphics in combat is awful and the speed is disastrous. It's turn-based combat and all sorts of things will happen here that you won't see nor will you have time to read. Too bad, because the game is good and for all you wanderers, this is the game that you have to try out at least.
Realms of Arkania 1 is a classic RPG from the year 1992 ,you're tasked with finding and artefact called the blade of destiny which will allow you stop an orc invasion on Arkania , you play the game in first person and you move around by clicking the area you want to head to , every background is nicely detailed and you get lots of options when you click on objects ,and when you talk to NPCs ,you have a party of 6 people and each has its special abilities and uses in combat , this game introduces hunger and thirst in games for the first time and it is one of the little features I love about it , making your RPG experience more immersing with little details like these that don't get annoying over time and the game doesn't become an eating and drinking game like most survival games nowadays, the characters and environments art is what you'd expect from a classic in the 90s and the music follows the same path, you can disable the music which is nice because it gets repetitive and annoying, if you're a fan of classics you can get +50 hours of gameplay and more with a very very low price of 4$.
