Boston never sleeps and there are always Nuyen and Karma points to be earned for an industrious Shadowrunner if you know where to find a job. From collecting nanite samples from infected sites, freeing hostages and defusing bombs to defending against invading headcases, corp troops or crazed technomancers, a wealth of repeatable mission will keep you on your toes.
The MISSIONS pack provides veteran Shadowrunners with replayable missions for single or co-op gameplay. All missions will feature variable enemies, target positions and other elements to keep replay fresh and offer you hours of challenging gameplay.
The missions will appear on the world map after you have finished the Lockdown Campaign and refresh in regular intervals.
This update works for both Shadowrun Chronicles and Shadowrun Chronicles: INFECTED! Director's Cut.
There are both easy and challenging missions to choose from that recharge every hour. As to the other, it's correct in that even the 'easy' missions are geared toward people that have completed the "Infected" storyline, so that's important to be aware of before purchasing. Still the missions are fun, and even if not 'top tier' geared, if you find a few teammates who have completed "Infected" which can help a lot. (teaming and meeting new players is a part of the fun, after all). I will also agree they can be *very* challenging solo with NPC's even if you've completed "Infected", but I enjoy the challenge, and it *is* possible to complete them. Keep in mind, the price of 'failure' is keeping whatever goodies you got while on the run, and simply having to repeat it from the start, which isn't a very heavy penalty if you ask me. Particularly if the drops were good, and maybe gave you better gear to work with in the process. So, if you have completed the story thus far, and want to continue running the shadows for valuable cash and prizes, this is a great and challenging expansion for you!
The Boston Lockdown Missions DLC for Shadowrun Chronicles is a good purchase for fans of the game as it gives needed content after completing the main story-line. At launch the missions changed once a day and you were only able to play the mission once, either alone or if you joined someone else. This was a mistake that was fixed with the next patch, the missions now change every hour and you are given four missions to choose from, two easy and two difficult ones. By the time you are done playing through them all, or likely even before, new ones will be available to choose from. New equipment has also been added. It's a good addition to the game with the main problems being that the game isn't that great and it feels like something that should be in the game without being DLC.
