Sure, mages may be more prepared and do it for the right reasons... sometimes. But that doesn't change the fact that they're toying with dangerous powers, and when they fail, they fail big. And most times those failures reshape the world around them. Generaly in the form of a smoking crater. Or something with a lot of tentacles.
Well, Argus windell was a pretty good wizard, an Arcanologyst to be precise. He knows everything there is to know about ancient artifacts, but I guess an apocalypse unleashed in the middle of a war has a way to change your views on the whole “unveiling the mysteries of the universe” thing. So he retired, looking for peace and quiet.
But that’s not easy to get in a world full of spike-haired buffoons who drag their giant swords around and mess things up with their chosen one complex. Specially when you’re trying to keep one of those dangerous devices out of the reach of their greasy Heroic hands.
Zenith is a game with an incredible story and you have to pay a lot of attention, It does not have good graphics, nor the best are low range but its history if it is very good and that's what I like in games that bring a good story no Matter if your graphics are not very good, I recommend it
Zenith is a good reminder that can be great without having all the fancy branding all around it! Even though the mechanics are the one of a console, the gameplay is okay. Story side, it's... unsettling, but very funny, could not stop bursting in laughter at times, and be prepared to revisit a spotlight of all your years of geekiness (even if sometimes it's a bit too much) and FINALLY, get a sarcarstic point of view on all heroic stories. I was quite concerned at the beginning, but this game is definitely worth it! Well done!
Zenith is a comedic top down action RPG that makes fun of different tropes and at times pokes fun at characters from classic RPGs or stories. The game has some good humor in it but it does get held back my mostly mediocre gameplay. A possible issue with the gameplay is that there is no real character progression, instead you will find different and better items to equip, weapons to use, and armor to wear. This makes things simple but it lacks the customization options that people usually tend to play these kind of games for. Even with the more simple development the game could still be enjoyable but it is hurt by the poor controls, it feels sluggish and movement and aiming doesn't work the way that it should. Defeating your enemies is also just not very satisfying. Combat animations aren't good or fluid but the games graphics are decent for a lower priced game. If you are looking for a humorous game and like references to other games this might be worth a look but if you are looking for a good and customization action RPG then you are going to be able to find much better games out there.
