The rise of the twisted king

The good story that could have been in Assassin's Creed III is in this 3-part DLC called: The Tyranny of King Washington. This is the first chapter: The Infamy, which pretty much introduce you to what's going own in this alternative story where Washington is the evil one and has the Fruit of Eden in his power, and you, still as Connor, but with new powers, has to take him down. Recommended.

Fun Alternate Reality

I find it hard deciding if I should or shouldn't recommend this pack as the story line is spread across several episodes, each with their own price. While pretty fun, the $9.99 a pop is a bit off putting so I would recommend this one, though I do so with some reservations.

The Evil Washington

The DLC is really excellent made, the gameplay is fluid, and the new additions feel very in place. As the game starts we see our Assassin - Connor waking up in a different reality, where things are not quite the things we knew them. Washington is evil, some of our allies are alive, some are dead, and as we continiue true the story, it feels more and more interesting to go on. But enough with that. As of the optimization, we can't say the same things as above. The optimization is really poor, the game lags from time to time, and on a medium-end PC like mine, the next DLC in Boston will be probably a horror to play. Although the story is interesting, I think that one Sequence is a little bit too short for the price of the DLC. And finally, the DLC is too good, to not play it, the only thing left to do right now, is to wait for the next episode.

Better than AC3

I really think this is better than AC3. Connor is still boring, but story is very interesting, Ubisoft should experiment with these alternate realities a lot more if they can do as magnificent work as with Tyranny of King Washington. So, the story: George Washington basically becomes the king of America. He's mad with power and he has an Apple of Eden which he uses to get the power to do all these things, and you try to stop him. The story is very interesting and George Washington as a villain is just awesome, it's just a shame that you don't really see Washington that often, but when you do, he means business. There's a nice amount of content in the DLC, and it even introduces a camouflage mechanic which I'd really like to be used in future AC games. Power of the Wolf allows Connor to go into stealth mode and dispatch enemies quickly and unseen which is quite fun and different from core AC. Tyranny of King Washington is a great addition to somewhat disappointing AC3. If Ubisoft makes all their DLC's at this quality, I say welcome, and I really hope they do more of these alternate realities, then they don't have to bother with all the facts and can go all out in their design choises, like the camouflage which isn't really a thing you'd see in a core AC game.
