The Dreadful Crimes DLC is a real nice idea for the main game and it basically turns Assassin's Creed Syndicate to a detective simulator, and makes the gameplay even more intriguing and challenging. the story written for the DLC is pretty good but I still don't know why this amazing part is not included in the season pass, i guess maybe it was too good to fit in it :) anyway this dlc is available via the main game and like Jack The Ripper doesn't need to load it separately in the main menu which gives you more freedom to play the missions too. So if you're into investigating and detective games, undoubtedly you will enjoy this dlc. good job Ubisoft, I really didn't expected it!
i like the London theme, the GTA travel style, but everything is so modern, i meant grabbling hook, the poison darts, but it make things too easy. overall, this game had prove that ubisoft is still good at this franchise, the game look stunning, awesome gameplay ( i dont like the fact that i have to crouch every time i go stealth mode) the story is quit interesting.
The dlc doesn't add any new mechanics instead the Jacob and Evie use eagle to investigate various crimes scenes around London and must collect clues and interrogate witnesses in order to solves the crime. Some are more complex as others as you must visit various locations throughout the city to get all the information you need. Once you have all the information you can accuse who you think the murderer is. As long as you have got all the information is quite easy to figure out who has committed the crime. After finishing the dlc I was satisfied with my purchase and felt it did a pretty good straying away from the typical gameplay formual Assassin's Creed in known for
In this industry, most single player DLCs are "more of the same". Most of the time, developpers create new missions for us to play in the same manner than the main game. There is no change in the gameplay except for new weapons or foes. The Dread Crimes is a bit different. In this DLC you're not fighting the templars like in the main story. This time, the Frye twins are investigating murders. With the help of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself, you must find out who is the true culprit of each of the nine cases of the DLC. The DLC recycles the main game's mechanics to create investigation sequences. Basically, the Eagle Vision makes you see clues and informations about the suspects (It's like Batman Arkham City). You can interrogate people. Then you must decide who you will accuse of the murder. Sure it's not as interesting as the proper Sherlock Holmes game but it's quite refreshing to play this DLC after hours of classic Assassin's Creed gameplay.
