Game description

Amazing sequel of an already great game!

After a great title that Arkham Asylum was, Rocksteady created the second part titled Batman Arkham City. The game starts a few months after the events of the first part. Quincy Sharp, former head of Arkham, was named mayor of Gotham after what happened in the Asylum. One of his first decisions was to buy out a large portion of the local slums, throw away normal inhabitants, fence the area, and put them all the thugs from Arkham. Surprisingly, instead of killing to each other, the criminals grouped into several gangs, and each one is led by one classic Batman comic book villain. On top of that the area is managed by a mysterious madman known as Hugo Strange. He gave the prisoners full freedom, and the only rule there is a ban on trying to escape. In this part we have a truely open world where we can move freely. The combat system has not changed but Batman has gotten new gadgets to beat opponents. I recommend this game!

Nananana BATMAN!

This game is incredible. Here's why: + The combat is super fluid and responsive, and really, really fun. There's a good amount of enemies that are defeated in different ways, like jumping over them and using one of your various gadgets on them + There's a large amount of different interesting gadgets that can be used in different ways. Too not spoil to much, I can say you have the grapple launcher to climb buildings and steal weapons, explosive gel to, well, blow stuff up, the classic batarang and much, much more. + Arkham City is super nicely designed. Rocksteady have really nailed the gothic style. + There's a lot of content except the main story, like riddles place by the Riddler and a couple of nice side missions. + The main story is good, and the missions are really varying and well designed. There's stealth, combat and puzzle solving, and it all works really well. + The characters are well voice acted and the writing is great. Most of the more well-known villains from Batman are present, like Two-Face, Penguin and the Joker. I can't even come up with any cons. It's great. Get it now.

What can I say

Batman: Arkham Asylum is one of those games that cannot believe is possible. Combined with the fluid combat, nice open world and superb voice acting, it delivers an explosive game. Trust me, even if you don't like Batman or you aren't a comic person, you WILL love him after playing this. Honestly, I cannot think of any faults with this game. What brings this game truly to life is the wonderful voice acting, with the voice of Mark Hamill being the Joker and together with Kevin Conroy, they give a movie like performance. Simply exploring the city is fun with challenging side missions to tackle and gliding around being the Batman, swooping down taking out your enemies is truly satisfying. Though you are not invincible, you are the Batman

Batman for the win

Batman: Arkham City is one of the best Batman games I have played, for its story and the game itself. The story behind it is amazing, and so is the quality of the game - great graphics, sounds and great gameplay! The only bad thing are the mouse and keyboard controls, which could have been better, but if you have a controller you are good to go! I recommend this to all the action games fans and also the fans of DC comics that like Batman, because it makes you feel like you are him, protecting Arkham City from his enemies!
