It's a game. Actually, it's more of a film with game elements. Everything you do requires its own little cinematic. It completely ruins the flow of the gameplay. The rpg elements are completely superfluous: you could likely go through the game without upgrading anything, and it wouldn't make a lick of difference. The stealth mechanics in the game are fairly rubbish, but so is the shooting. There is a point a few hours in where you will likely stop noticing how floaty and wimpy the guns feel, and you might start enjoying yourself. Maybe. It's still unlikely though, as the movement in the game sucks. Sprinting lasts about as long as it takes to cum, and the regular running speed is insultingly slow. On top of this, there is no lean functionality, but rather a 'third person mode' where you glue yourself to the wall. In every way the original succeeds, this game fails. The story is forgettable and boring, the gameplay is simplistic, the levels are cramped and unexpansive. Even the boss battles are under-utilised: they require only combat skills, which completely undermine the 'play it your own way' lie of the game. Avoid this game like you would any other shoddy reboot.

Great game

The story isn't as good as the first game, but the gameplay is golden, you can take covers now and the stealth is way better, you can do "lethal" or "non-lethal" melee attacks. In the Director's Cut edition the game no longer has that yellow tint that the original HR had, and I think it is more stable (I had crashed on the original HR). Totally worth the money The game goes open-world after the second mission, just when you learned and got used to the controls and how the game works which is very nice. Mac version is as good as the Windows one, I've played on both systems.

Super great rpg/fps with stealth elements

This has to be one of the best games i've played so far. It has multiple ways to complete each level, eg stealth or shooter. However in the more open areas, you can have side quests as well. However these contribute to the main storyline and doesn't distract you from the main campaign. Depending on whether you do these side quests, you can unlock different endings.

Great stealth with nice story

In this game you play as Adam Jensen who after an incident got heavily modified with cybernetics. You've basically turned into a super badass. The plot is really interesting, and there's also many nice side missions. Stealth is in my opinion the most satisfying way to complete missions, especially since the shooting isn't that great (but still decent), and rewards the biggest amount of XP. The graphics are technically not that impressive but still good, but very yellow-ish. The world feels very well built with a great attention to detail, and it's very immersive. Adam Jensen himself isn't the most interesting main character ever, but still pretty cool. It does also work on pretty much every computer ever, so please buy it.

Better than i thought. Really good

Deus Ex Human Revolution is certainly the most immersive way you will play. It is not for nothing: mechanical polished game, massive amount of text, an engaging story, a lot of dialogue, a legal protagonist, a gameplay more than 40 hours, a replay inviting, complete freedom to experience the approach you want ... All it makes this game a true classic. You can finish the entire game without killing anyone at all (being forced to eliminate only the main leaders) or can kill whoever it wants. These choices are directly related to the skills of the skills of trees that offer improvements that make your life according to your approach. Every mission you encounter problems with multiple types of solution that will depend on your creativity and improvisation. The plot is excellent; begins slowly and takes astronomical proportions. The soundtrack is spectacular, giving the feeling that we are really in a futuristic world and the voice acting is competent. Despite some flaws, as some very simple human models, this game is the best RPG with elements of action and stealth of the market and certainly I recommend the game.
