Silent Assassin is at least a worthy successor of the first Hitman. It brings a lot of improvements to the game, but it does not spoil what was already good. It has its faults, but luckily not many. People who liked the first Hitman will certainly not be disappointed with this title. This is an interesting position for all the fans of the stealth approach. Mind that the graphics will be dated but game despite all those years is still good!
First game will always be remembered for awkward controls and dated graphics, and that was pointed out back in the day. And just like first Twisted Metal game was panned for graphics and other things, it came back with Twisted Metal 2 which turned the franchise upside down and blew everyone away. With Silent Assassin, it's the same case. Controls are finally fixed and it's much easier to play, graphics don't feel as outdated... it's bigger and better game then the previous one and it is improvement in every aspect. This game even has a story that not only makes sense, but kinda makes our bald assassin somewhat likeable and somewhat relate to him. It may not be award winner, but it's better than "go kill this dude" and end credits. Music is incredible and it's worth playing for soundtrack alone. If you got turned off by the first game, give this one, contracts or any other a try, because the series gets better from here, and this one is already excellent.
Being one of the best ever Stealth games, Hitman: Silent Assassin was & always will be one of the finest old gems that defined Stealth. It's safe to say it's better than the first one and presented different ways of eliminating your enemies. Of course, both of them were made at different times, let's not forget. Offers a lot of hours of gameplay, various ways to confront each enemy and how to do your job, plenty of weapons. You either go guns blazing every time and everywhere, you crawl your way in with Stealth and letting no-one recognise you. It has awesome graphics even for back then, a great story like all Hitman games have (Hitman: Absolution is the worst in the series, though), and very good shooting mechanics as they seemed so advanced for its time. Extraordinary Hitman game. Totally recommend it even if you're new to the Hitman series.
This game is great, it lets you decide the method to complete the level, it has a lot of variables since make the level without kill anybody and stealth to kill a guard steal their gun and make the hell burn in the street, mansion, subway etc, etc. Also has a big guns variety that allows choice the best one for you. But i think that the IA is a bit weird and poor, because you cant feel that their really thrust or not the lie.
This game sure has been made a lot of years ago but it's still playable. The infiltration gameplay is not as good as in Kojima's Games but it's very advanced too. The music fits to the ambiance and the game's story is interesting. i already finished it twice and I am just going to buy the HD collection on my PS3 !
