There aren't a lot of alternatives to Total War large-scale RTS games, but this is one of the better choices out there. King Arthur is essentially Medieval 2: Total War with (slightly) shinier graphics and some RPG elements added in. Unit balance is a bit iffy (archers, for example), and the interface is a bit convoluted, but it's otherwise a great game. The quests give you a nice sense of direction (instead of just "capture a city for the sake of capturing"), and the story's pretty good too. There's also a nice variety of units -- something Total War games have been severely lacking in recent releases. Definitely worth picking up if you're into Total War/RTS games.
