The long-waited DLC finally arrrives

If you played and enjoyed Resident Evil 5, this is a must buy DLC for you. It adds two more levels to the good and fun campaign to fill the holes in the story that capcom created. It may be a little bit overpriced but the content in it it's good for a try. Also, it adds more content that just two story levels DLC, as it adds more content to the mercenary mode. Recommended.

Capcoms at it again.

I have a serious problem with Untold Stories or rather with Capcom attitude. Resident Evil 5 is an interesting game but it's hard to say the same about this DLC, it expands a little the beloved universe but let's be honest. What we got is simply not enough. The addon can be finished within one or perhaps two hours if you are taking your time which is not enough for the asked price. But when it will be on a massive sale not to be scammed by Capcom.

Untold Stories Bundle is a bunch of new campaings, new game modes and new stuff like costumes.

Many of the myriad "sins" committed by the parent game can be considered at least partly absolved by the sheer, horror-y greatness of the first of the two bonus "episodes" included in this bundle, entitled - encouragingly enough - Lost in Nightmares. Not only does this have a super-slow and super-atmospheric build-up, and return the game to limited resources a la the early Resident Evils...it furthermore renders you effectively UNARMED for much of its latter half, a la more recent "stealth-horror" games like Amnesia and Outlast (and what's more, interestingly predates the somewhat similar - and similarly excellent - The Evil Within DLCs, The Assignment and The Consequence, by YEARS)! If only the RE series had continued in this direction!! Oh well. My only criticisms are a complete lack of save-points - a mostly forgivable fact, given the episode's length being not much more than an hour, maybe an hour and a half - and an annoyingly "what the ???? am I supposed to be doing here?"-style "boss fight" with Wesker at the end. Other than that, fantastic stuff; and it is, as always, quite wonderful to return to some-version-or-other of the original RE1 mansion. By stark contrast, the other episode, Desperate Escape, is an all-out, dumb-arsed, action-packed frag-fest...but a pretty decent one for all that. Certainly a lot better than most such mini-games and DLCs from the RE franchise (I'm talking to YOU, The Struggle, you unforgivable piece of poop). There's also some Versus/"Mercenaries" stuff included with this bundle, but I'll just skip straight over that since frankly, my dear, I don't GIVE a damn about such trifles. Still a very highly recommended DLC...though if you (like myself) are not liable to get your "full value" from this pack by draining every single drop that it has to offer, you may want to wait on a sale, 'cause fifteen bucks might be a tad steep for barely a few hours of extras. Personally, I probably wouldn't have felt cheated even if I HAD paid full price, so I'm certainly satisfied enough.

Two additional well made levels

Untold Stories the two new levels, Lost In Nightmares and Desperate Escape. Lost In Nightmares is a prequel to the game that has Chris and Jill going after Wesker in a mansion, the style of this is more atmospheric and in line with some moments of the previous games and includes some traps and simple puzzles. Desperate Escape takes place near the end of the main game and shows what Jill and Josh were doing before they picked up Chris and Sheva at the end of the game. Desperate Escape is a more action focused level more in line with the rest of the game. Both are good editions to the main game and the new characters have different melee attacks than you get when playing as Chris or Sheva.

Get this if you don't have it already!

I really mean it! If you bought RE5 in the past and you're hesitating about buying these DLCs or not, do it! Specially for ''Lost in Nightmares'', but also the mercenaries. It's so fun and it adds a lot of content and extra gameplay to the main game. Also, if you didn't play the two missions included on this DLC, you're missing a lot of content from the main story, you'll never regret buying this, 100% recommended!
