Not as good as the first but well worth a discounted buy

I absolutely adored The New Order and Old Blood. The perfect mix of story and gameplay was refreshing, the graphics were great for the year and the collectables fun to seek out. The New Colossus has a great story, (though it feels less impactful) and great gunplay (though the emphasis on stealth and absurd commander placements hurt it). The pacing feels all over the place, and side objectives can be laughable. Extra content after end game is nice but ending felt so abrupt. I gave TNO 5/5 TNC gets a low 4/5. I enjoyed it even though it wasn't as good as the first

Strong recommendation to returning fans or complete newbies to the franchise.

This game is fantastic, its a well designed and confident piece of work. It is very refreshing to play something today that does not shy away from having a strong message ingrained in it's narrative, characters are developed much further than in previous titles and this is a much needed addition to the formula. The game play remains similar yet not the same, stealth is as always a viable option or you can go guns blazing from the word go, there are skill trees that level up depending on your own play style and support you with relevant perks. Optimisation is good yet not completely flawless as would be seen in other titles such as DOOM, running a 1070 and R5 1600 with all settings cranked to full (Mein lieben) 1440p I have not seen any dips below 60 with my averages sitting in the 85-95 fps region. The game is of reasonable length if just playing though at a normal pace on normal difficulty however I found playing on the higher difficulties much more fun and challenging. As always there is a plethora of collectables to be found, approaches to be taken and things to see in the game world so I feel there is enough here for at least two full runs through of the game, even if just to see alternate paths and cut scenes. Each "area/level" can also be revisited after a certain point to assassinate Nazi Commanders essentially adding a number of side missions, there are also challenge rooms to be completed. If you are a fan of the series you will certainly not be disappointed, if you are new to the series but have an interest in the alternate timeline that it portrays as seen in shows such as "The Man in The High Castle" or previous Wolfenstien games then you will find hours of enjoyment here equally. With games of this nature (Completely Single Player Experience) I would always suggest to wait for some form of a sale, this is not any reflection on the standard of game, it is merely personal preference as I know regardless of the masses of content here I will ultimately get less hours out of a title with no multiplayer. That being said I thoroughly recommended this game, I waited a long time for this sequel and it has been well worth it. Back to hacking Nazis into pulp with a hatchet!

Emotional, Classic Wolfenstein mayhem (new order)

Anyone who loved new order will love this game, its a huge upgrade from the original series that we all know. Not to be mistaken with wolfenstein 3D. Honestly this game is a real kicker, you have your emotional story carried out by cutscenes and a review of the original game (new order) at the start of the game thats beautiful. SPOILER you can also play the original Wolfenstein 3D in this game, thats right the full game! The game compliments itself on the highest of settings, graphics doesn't become an issue if you turn these graphics down; this time the game did not have FPS problems like i did when i played old blood. Overall: This game is extremely recommended those of you who like or don't really like fps, but like a game with lots of variety, story line and something you can play over and over again with a bit more challenge installed. The story is extremely easy to follow, since they recap it for you i love this game, its not too emotional and i hate that you can't decide what you say because you just love anya. But nonetheless a stunning game, i can't wait for more DLC's and games!

A well worth it sequel

Haven't played the first one yet? Well, I suggest you pick it and this up for the holiday season. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus picks up right after The New Order and immediately throws you into the fray, killing Nazis with hopeless abandon. The story was always good, and this one doesn't disappoint. I finished it very recently and, besides an obvious sequel setup at the end, was entire ride was very pleasant and worthwhile. 2 thumbs up from me!

Well written, well directed, enjoyable gameplay, and good and at times humorous commentary

Good writing, well directed, characters that can be both serious or funny. Good commentary on current events, America's support of white supremacy and the black revolutionaries, socialist, women, and disabled that have historically fought it. Characters, plot, and well done collectibles point out historic/current politics or US atrocities either to enhance the story, to highlight historic details that would have effected characters, for humor, or to turn things around on the US by having them the country that had a atomic bomb used on them to end the war. Great base characters that are able to give most side characters a personality or include more details on the world. Satisfying shooting and movement, not many weapons but upgrades can make you change the way some of them work. Two timelines with different cut scenes, base interactions, and weapons. Poor perk system just wastes time, having you perform certain tasks to increase ammo capacity or to take less damage from certain kinds of attacks. Leaning allows you to really exploit the enemy AI, picking up enemy heavy weapons becomes pointless once your rifle, shotgun, and pistol are upgraded, and the large robotic enemies really aren't fun to fight and when you take the most logical upgrades they pose no real threat. Characters introduced near the end of the game had a great introduction scene and one had a good moment in the base interactions, but they get very little time to do anything. Really good ending and credit scenes partially ruined by horrible credits theme.
