Xcom 2 has been a game that has a lot of replayablity; with the new addition of steam workshop and with the upcoming War of the Chosen the Replayablity is about to get even bigger and buying the digital deluxe edition will allow you to have all the dlc improving the gameplay and adding a new unit and gear. the addition of the loot system, you won't get the same loot twice. I recommend this game to people who have play Xcom enemy unknown.
There is not much to write here. It's still old XCOM in a new graphics, new capabilities, even better soundtrack, addictive storyline and character creator, which is a nice addition to this series. The difficulty level has increased, there's more opponents, most missions are time limited, and the enemies shoots more frequently than the previous games. Maps also appear larger than in the previous parts.
Those moments in which if you have worried about personalizing your soldiers, you will suffer with each of them in more extreme situations. It seems that Firaxis knew perfectly which ropes to throw to involve us in the adventure and have achieved it with more, maximizing the moments of tension in both the base and the fighting. If, on the other hand, you are new to this type of strategy, you can launch without much doubt; The ability of the American study to immerse yourself in action is such that you will not even notice the turns. Pleasure to be back, Commander.
I only played this game at one of my friends house, and watched on youtube as others played, and boy I'm frustrated because I can't play it at home :( The story start of telling you that you lost the first game, which is fitting, if a bit insulting, and then all hell breaks loose in classic XCOM fashion. The gameplay is solid, just like in the first one. The enemies show little variation, just enough, to be interesting, combined, with the new status quo. there is a sense of urgency in everything, and every decision counts. The first game was tough, this one...well, it1s tough, even for a veteran. The graphics are really superb. I never wanted them to look better then the first but I have to admit, I really like the new look. Compared to this the first ones cities look like a set in the movie, these stages feel real. I recommend this game, and will buy it really soon! :)
The difficulty curve is enormous, especially if you haven't played an XCOM game before (like me). The game really feels very "if you mess up you have no one to blame but yourself" - almost Dark Souls-y in its difficulty. Once you put the hours in, though, it feels amazing to complete a mission with no one dying. Even though all shots are percentage chances to hit, the RNG doesn't really feel too random. You, as a player, can fairly easily manipulate your enemies to have low percentage chances to hit. The upgrade tree for equipment also feels very satisfying - from basic weapons, to the Gaussian magnetic guns, to the super-futuristic alien weaponry. The difficulty does stay with you throughout - it's not just difficult early on, but even through the mid to late game (especially that hellish last mission).
