Game description

Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2 – the next chapter in the award-winning Dishonored saga by Arkane Studios. Play your way in a world where mysticism and industry collide. Will you choose to play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or the royal protector, Corvo Attano? Will you make your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system, or use a blend of both? How will you combine your character’s unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes, as you play through each of the game’s hand-crafted missions.

      • Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the Lord Regent has been vanquished and the dreaded Rat Plague has passed into history. An otherworldly usurper has seized Empress Emily Kaldwin’s throne, leaving the fate of the Isles hanging in the balance. As Emily or Corvo, travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to Karnaca, the once-dazzling coastal city that holds the keys to restoring Emily to power. Armed with the Mark of the Outsider and powerful new abilities, track down your enemies and take back what’s rightfully yours.

Key Features

The Assassins

      • As fully voiced characters, Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano now bring their own perspectives and emotional responses to the world and story. Use each character’s set of powers, gadgets and uniquely-tuned weapons in creative ways as you explore the world – whether you fight your way through the city streets or sneak across the rooftops - and which enemies you decide to eliminate or spare.

Supernatural Powers

      • Advanced bonecharm crafting and all-new upgrade trees allow you to customize your powers in vastly different ways. Become a living shadow to silently stalk your targets, link enemies so they share a common fate, or mesmerize your foes and dominate their minds. Choose from nearly infinite combinations of violence, nonlethal combat, powers and weapons to accomplish your objectives.

Imaginative World

      • From the grimy, rat-infested streets of Dunwall to the lush, exotic coasts of a decaying Karnaca, immerse yourself in stylized locales created by Arkane’s premiere art and narrative teams. The world is a character in its own right, rich with story, architecture and eclectic characters. It is also punctuated by signature mission locations, such as the Dust District, ravaged by dust storms and warring factions, and a madman’s mansion made of shifting walls, deadly traps and clockwork soldiers.

      • Customize your gameplay options and difficulty settings for an even more tailored adventure. You can make the experience more challenging (or easier) by changing myriad parameters related to stealth, movement and combat.

The Void Engine

      • Dishonored 2 is beautifully brought to life with the new Void Engine, a leap forward in rendering technology, built from id Tech and highly-customized by Arkane Studios. Designed to support world-class art direction and take full advantage of the powerful hardware this generation has to offer, the Void Engine allows for significant advances to all game systems, including responsive stealth and combat Artificial Intelligence, lighting and graphical rendering, impressively dense urban environments, and story presentation.

Trusted Reviews - "Dishonored 2 takes it a step further and delivers one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in Gaming."

PCGamer - "If you ever thought ‘they don’t make them like they used to’ during the triple-A funk of the mid-noughties, then Dishonored was a reassuring return to form. Dishonored getting a proper sequel takes that further. It suggests that you can stop thinking about how they used to make them, and start getting excited about how they make them now."

BitGamer - "Regardless, there's an unmistakable feeling of quality to certain games, and Dishonored 2 has it."

We've been praying for a follow up to Dishonored ever since we first set foot in Dunwall, and the announcement of Dishonored 2 earlier this year has us all kinds of excited.

E3 raised a whole bunch of questions and tantalising possibilities. The fact that Emily Kaldwin is playable has us very intrigued, and from the looks of things, she's picked up some seriously cool powers from the Outsider too!

Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the events of the first game, with a usurper having seized the throne from Emily, and the player charged with restoring her to power by playing either as Emily herself or returning masked hero, Corvo Attano. The game will take players beyond Dunwall to Karnaca – a coastal city where the fate of the Empire will decided.

Dishonored 2 looks bold, brutal, and beautiful, and it looks like Arkane are brimming with brilliant ideas for this sequel.

One of the greats

Incredible. The gameplay in this sequel to one of my favourite games of all time improves upon the original's, even though I thought it would be incredibly hard to improve on it. The replayablility in this game is almost unmatched, with two protagonists to choose from, each with unique powers, the option of rejecting those powers, and playing with a combination of either stealth or assault and lethal or non-lethal. This allows for massive amounts of replayability, especially with the masterfully handcrafted level, which feel both natural and like a playground for you. The story is also vastly improved from the original, and I really don't want to spoil anything here. The one issue that I've got with it is the optimization, although it still isn't too terrible. And don't worry, this is not a console port, this was clearly a separate version of the game, as notable by the abundance of graphical settings in the game. Currently, I run it at around 45-60fps with drivers for it and a GTX 960 4GB, which can obviously handle this well. But the PC community as a whole has been saying that they've got frame-drops and stuttering right now, so that's one thing to remember. However, Arkane Studios has a patch in the works for this week as the time of writing, and this will not only fix bugs but also this frame problem. TL:DR; - improves on the original's fantastic formula - amazing replayability - fun to play and mess around with - vastly improved story - framerate issues on most systems, as of right now

An outstanding balance between stealth and action!

Gameplay of Dishonored 2 comes to meaning when at the beginning of the game, when you enter your fantasy world, you will be asked if you like to play with magic powers or do you like to work with your sword and pistol? It's really a hard question when looking at it more precisely! We see that the team put elements in every part of the game, with which we can implement our own style of play with changing them. When you play without magic powers, you will surely face a more realistic world than the past, and the combats will be more challenging than ever before. All of this depends on you, what type of process you like and what kind of situation you want to play. Be sure that the game is beautifully designed which with you choosing any style, the gameplay has a separate thing to experience and will surprise you. Dishonored 2 Maybe is not a masterpiece in its genre like the first version, but it certainly is one of the best games of the eighth generation. The skill of the Arkane studio once again featured in this release in the level design, and if you are looking for an adventure-action experience with stealth mechanics, Dishonored 2 is made for you.

A Worthy Entry in the Dishonored Franchise

Dishonored 2 is a fantastic game and a great addition to the Dishonored franchise. It features two playable protagonists and takes place in a dazzling new setting. As with the first game, players are able to approach missions in a variety ways and have free reign over what objective to complete first and where to explore. This game does, however, fall just short of the splendour of the original. Despite this, Dishonored 2 manages to keep things fresh by adding a variety of new powers and enemies to fight. My only gripe with this game is that the DLC is functioning as a standalone game this time around. Still, I rate Dishonored 2 an 8.5/10

Dishonored 2 is definitely one of the best games of 2016.

If you want to play the game with no stealth and killing almost everyone on you way you can go ahead and just finish the missions, you'll need about 8 to 10 hours to end the storyline for each character you choose at the beginning , but be aware that like Dishonored every action and decision you make have great consequences on the ending. But the most important thing in the game is if you want to finish the game in stealth and also depending on the puzzles in it, each level can take about 8 hours and considering this you realize there is a lot of variation about how you could play the game which is impressive. The other thing about Dishonored 2 story is that, with all its goodness, there are weaknesses that make you feel a little bit non comfortable, and one of those would be lack of paying more attention for side characters which kinda hurts the feeling you get about the game at the end. Dishonored 2 could have been known as the best game of 2016 with a little bit, and just a little more work and fixing its disadvantages. But the technical problems and the lack of perfect storytelling and lack of sense of challenge during levels have made me to not consider it as the best choice yet still, Dishonored 2 is definitely one of the best games of 2016.

A great game with scarce new additions

Dishonored 2 is pretty similar to the first game and doesn't offer many new additions. The biggest difference between them is the option to play as Emily who has a different set of powers. This ramps up the replayability far greater that it was in the first Dishonored. Another new addition is the ability to craft your own bonecharms. But thats pretty much the biggest news. Nevertheless, if you liked the first game, you will most likely enjoy this sequel.
