Game description

WatchDogs™ Bad Blood features an all new story campaign starring T-Bone, the eccentric hacker players first met in WatchDogs™, who is now playable for the first time. The campaign explores T-Bone’s story through 10 new missions set in new, unique locations throughout Chicago. Following soon after the events of Watch_Dogs, Raymond “T-Bone” Kenney infiltrates Blume one last time to plant a false trail in their system. But before he can disappear from the grid, he receives a panicked phone call from Tobias Frewer, a former colleague from the prototype days of Blume’s ctOS. By helping, T-Bone decides to put his own escape at risk and soon realizes the details aren’t adding up.

WatchDogs Bad Blood also grants players access to “Street Sweep” contracts, a dynamic new system of side missions that offers players endless hours of challenge. All Street Sweep contracts are playable in coop mode (friend or public sessions), a first for WatchDogs, allowing two players to work together to combat Chicago’s criminal groups. The popular online ‘Hacking’ and ‘Tailing’ modes as well as the ctOS Companion App are also fully playable as T-Bone in the WatchDogs Bad Blood. In addition, WatchDogs Bad Blood features exclusive weapons, perks and outfits, including the remote-controlled car “Eugene,” T-Bone’s latest creation that can be upgraded with both offensive and defensive perks.

A Good Change of Pace

Watch Dog's Bad Blood is an interesting look at T-Bone;s character after the events of Watch Dogs. Aiden has gone underground, but there are still some holes left over from the main game that make life a little uneasy. So, what do you do? Leave it to the old dudes. Bad Blood, as a downloadable content (DLC) package is largely in-line with what the main Watch Dogs game has to offer in gameplay; however, it also changes the pace up a fair bit by implementing the use of remote controlled cars, as one of T-Bone's tricks. The DLC offers new locations in the game's setting of Chicago, IL, along with its own story centered around T-Bone. Besides the additional story content, drones, and other T-Bone tricks and perks, there isn't much else the DLC has worth mentioning, in my opinion. The most prominent aspect of it, however, is its marginal improvement in gameplay over the main game. Sure, adding some new perks and a remote controlled vehicle into the mix wouldn't change much of the core gameplay, right? Well, it kind of does. And in a good way. Some of the areas in levels are made for the remote controlled car to be used, and in some it is effectively forced to be used to progress. This highlights both a good and bad aspect to the remote controlled car. It can work well, and had it been incorporated better in design, no doubt this DLC pack would highlight what Watch Dogs could become in sequels; however, its limited use is a major disappointment. One other aspect of the DLC is its level design in later levels. Rather than simple design choices, later levels include some puzzle aspects and present a stronger use the hacking tools in Watch Dog?s core gameplay. Personally, I found this kind of experimentation a nice point for the DLC. In closing, if you liked T-Bone as a character, and enjoyed what Watch Dogs offered you in gameplay and want a little bit of a change up, then Watch Dog's Bad Blood would provide more than a sufficient amount of fun and enjoyment with a mix of Watch Dogs's core gameplay and additional mechanics brought into Bad Blood. I would recommend this DLC pack.
