"Lego The Lord of the Rings is perhaps the finest treasure that the partnership has yet produced, a compelling mixture of cooperative gameplay, secrets galore, and a story that remains one of the most fantastic that Hollywood has ever captured on film." - Gamespot.com

Simply the best and most diverse lego game around. I played the entire game and enjoyed it from the beginning until the end, i found it to be great when you play it with friends. I did every achievement and it felt like never before. One thing is for sure LEGO Lord of the Rings will drain all your time in a pleasant and entertaining way. Lego games are full of that amazing sarcastic humour that characterizes this series and LEGO Lord of the Rings is not an exception. Visuals are what you would expect from a lego game, not overwhelming but satistying. You should definitely give this game a try if you're a LOTR fan.
I love LEGO games and this didn't disappoint. The game is very faithful to the storylines but in classic lego fashion. Being able to roam Middle Earth as a tiny lego character feels good, and the number of characters which are playable means there's endless hours of fun to be had. Like any lego game, you'll never be stuck for anything to do. With quite a long story mode and lots of mini games to play, theres lots of fun to be had and it can be made even more fun by doing it in co-op with a friend!
I'm a big fan of LOTR, and I usually buy all the games, good and bad. This game is definitely good. The graphics are nice and the controls work smoothly. There is a huge world to explore, letting you see in detail LEGO versions of famous places from the films. The game follows the story of the films, adding in its own LEGO humor to the plot. There is plenty to do, and, though it can get repetitive at time, it is well worth playing to the end. Overall, this game is a must buy for all LOTR fans, suitably for both kids and adults
Revisit Middle Earth with the added charm and humour Lego has accustomed so many to. The gameplay and camera can be a bit awkward at times (and I strongly suggest playing with a controller), but it doesn't spoil the general fun. Many games have tried their luck with LotR, few have succeded - this is one of them. The 20€ price tag sounds a bit high, considering it's a relatively old title..but if you're a Tolkien fan, you'll have no excuse not to pick it up when it's on sale!
Ever since Lego Star Wars III, the franchise has had some form of open world, which has evolved and culminated in this game. True to Peter Jackson's trilogy and the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, Lego Lord of the Rings comes highly recommended for fans of the saga. Its strength lies in its open-world, which incorporates many RPG elements and is reminiscent of Skyrim. (Anyone get the in-game arrow to the knee reference?). Middle Earth is faithfully recreated and allows for fetch-quests and minigames. While the levels are a bit lackluster and sometimes buggy, the game itself is saved by its incredible open-world gameplay. A must for all Tolkien fans!
