Game description

The third downloadable content pack for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier®, Khyber Strike features three new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer game mode called Takeover, a new Guerrilla Mode co-op map, new achievements, and an increased level cap.

Key Features:

Three new multiplayer maps:

  • Switchback: Step off the main road leading down into the city and into a maze of ancient buildings and narrow alleys. The twists and turns of the alleyways turn every corner into a close-quarters death trap.

  • Palace: There's no time for reflection, even in this magnificent relic. What once was a museum dedicated to showing the glories of the past, is now a battlefield with a massive courtyard at the heart of its contested ground.

  • Transit: A Moscow metro station makes for close-quarters and close-range combat. Trains pulling into and out of the station add to the danger as Ghosts and Bodark slug it out underground.

One new multiplayer game mode: Takeover

  • Similar to a classic team deathmatch, score points for your team by eliminating enemies. Tip the scales by taking control of the enemy’s objective and earn a score multiplier for your team. Defend your team’s objective to prevent the enemy from gaining the same advantage. Choose to split your team to defend and attack at the same time, or move as a group to overwhelm your enemy. When the mission ends, the team with highest score wins.

One Guerrilla mode map “Village” (Four players online / Two players in local split screen)

  • A peaceful country village finds itself transformed into a battleground, as fighting rages around its central bus station. Long alleyways that run between war-damaged buildings make a perfect hunting ground for snipers, and a shootout near the town's gas station could turn explosive.

  • Level cap increase of +10.

Not Disappointed

I was worried whether to play this after reading all the negative comments. In the end, I decided to at least give it a chance and I'm glad I did. Things I like: Gunsmith, I love the gun customisation. I haven't unlocked much, but theres lots to choose from and plenty of camos to give your weapon a unique look. I was most concerned about the graphics, but I'm pleased to say in DX11 maxed out I really quite like them. The environments are detailed, debris, graffiti on walls. The textures look crisp. I've only played the campaign so far and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Ok, so the negative. I've listened to the advice and am playing version 1.0. I've read about the disaster that is patch 1.2 and avoided it. This means I can't yet play multiplayer (so this game clearly was rushed out). The controls are ok. Clearly from a console, but I've tweaked the mouse sensitivity to my liking and remapped the scope to RMB. I struggled at first with performance. I have everything maxed in DX11 on a 4ghz 2500k and 560ti. I struggled to get a steady 60fps. However, I found that adding launcher and GR.exe to nvidia control panel and selecting AFR2 allowed me to use SLI quite successfully and now its really fluid. The single player is a bit linear and I'm not a fan of story telling anyway, so a bit more shooty and less talky would have been better for me. In conclusion, I believe if you liked R6 Vegas like you'll really like this. I love the cover system (holding shift moves you to the next context sensitive cover). I haven't experience any bugs (yet!) and haven't had any problems at all with the game so far.

A good way to expand multiplayer

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier - Khyber Strike DLC Pack is a good multiplayer with new maps: _Transit is a good map for snipers, it's really big; _Palace is a map where you must continue to move and use shotgun and stun grenades _Switchback is a map with a big central zone where the two faction must fight to conquer and defend the position. The pack adds also new achievements, increases the level cap and introduce a new gameplay mode to guarantee new hours of gameplay with Ghost Recon gameplay
