This story takes place in a land vaguely reminiscent of modern-day Japan. In the twenty years since the first Human Tank was developed, the war raging between the Empire of Japon and the Kingdom of Japon has turned into a proxy war fought between Human Tanks on both sides.
The Empire of Japon once ruled the entire land of Japon. Now diminished and cornered, the Empire prepares to make its last stand as the tanks of the Kingdom of Japon draw close to its capital. Shoutaro Daihon'ei, Lieutenant of the Imperial Army moves out to the battlefield, followed closely by the loyal Human Tanks in his company.

War of the Human Tanks is an excellent rts game, with a great story line that kept me playing just so that I could uncover more of the history of the human tanks and the parts played by Shoutaro Daihon'ei and his forces. I would easily recommend this as well as the sequel War of the Human Tanks: Altier as a great game.
One of the kinds of game that are far better than they look. Under this average (at best) graphic lies a great turn based strategy game with interesting plot and setting. We command a group of human tanks - living weapons. Each type of human tank has different abilities, equipment and role: there are ones to fight in close combat and others best suited to take enemies from afar. The terrain play a huge role during a combat both passive (many maps have choke points, perfect for defence) and active (units are invisible in forests unless enemy is right beside them). There is a demo version available so everyone can try the game before buying. Worth every penny.
