Arcade side-scroller with strategy elements! Four different types of zombie minions with unique abilities! 70 levels of pure zombie gore fun! Additional game mode - Nightmare - only for the hardcore gamers!
Death is lonely. He has zero friends on his FaceTome account and no one to hang out with. So, in order to feel better he begins “Project Deadlings”. Death buys a factory where he can build his laboratory and begin training a massive army of zombie minions.
As the army of Deadlings grows, the mazes of the laboratory become deadlier, loaded with puzzles and death-defying traps. Different Deadlings have their own unique abilities: Bonesack is agile - he can run and jump, Creep can climb on walls and ceilings, Lazybrain treads slowly but carefully and Stencher... well Stencher has gastric problems so he can use his powerful gas clouds to fly.
You will have to combine all of these abilities to find your way in Death's Maze.
Can you help Death to kill his boredom? Will you be able to navigate all 60+ levels available in Deadlings? Will you complete Project Deadlings, and successfully train all of your zombie minions?

The art style and soundtrack are cool, and the gameplay is pretty good, but it's too impractical to be a paid game. It seems more like something you'd play on kongregate when you got a couple of hours to kill. Figuring out a level takes about 1 minute, and then it's just hoping you don't screw up the platforming (And if you're playing on nigtmare or going for all brains, Morgan Freeman bless you.) The levels go one at a time, so if you're stuck, you can't do anything, unlike games like Super Meat Boy where if you're stuck, you at least have another level to play. Overall, the concept is cool, the art and soundtrack were pretty good, but the gameplay was executed poorly.
The game begins with a short funny cutscene of Death looking sadly at his FaceTome page before getting the idea for Project Deadlings. The focus of the game is to use the zombies assigned to you on each level to collect all of the brains scattered around and to reach the exit while making it under par time. You will need to avoid traps, activate switches, bounce off objects, etc to get through each level. Levels allow you to view them before you start so that you can plan your strategy. Fun game for a low price.
