Has some good moments but didn't usually hold my interest

Here They Lie is a horror game that combines moments of exploring strange and creepy environments, navigating areas that more resemble an Escher sketch than normal areas, and sneaking past enemies that you aren't able to fight. When you are exploring the environment is probably when the game is at it's best as sneaking past enemies never makes you feel like you are in danger as it's difficult to feel threatened when exploiting AI that not only isn't actively hunting you but doesn't really even react to things that they should notice, dying doesn't come with much of a penalty either. The surrealist elements can occur too often and seem to make a few people nauseous. While the art doesn't always fit well and the enemies aren't always interesting it is nice to avoid the usual elements of zombies or mutated creatures. I didn't find the vague plot of the game to be that interesting either. It might have a few scares for some people and some good spots but it ended up being a pretty dull experience for me.
