Gamespot - 9/10 - "Titanfall 2 feels like the game Respawn should have made in 2013. It's a fantastic sequel. It's a fluid shooter. Its a spectacular game."
Gamesradar+ - 4.5/5 - "Titanfall 2 might well be this year's best surprise."
Gameinformer - 9.5/10 - "For first-person shooter fans, Titanfall 2 is a must play."
Titanfall was a breakout hit, developed by Respawn Entertainment, the release of Titanfall influenced the rest of the industry to pivot around their brand new ideas for traversal in a traditional multiplayer shooter. Titanfall 2 brings it back a slight notch, with more Titans (Giant Robots) falling into the fray so that in the middle of deadly skirmishes, you can call upon a hulking, giant piece of metal to squish your foes with.
Another new addition to Titanfall 2 includes a full campaign mode, which was not present in the original game. Hone your skills in the single-player modes and then take the fight to the world in Titanfall 2's online multiplayer modes. It's pretty much a must-have even if you're remotely into big robots punching things to death. I know for me it's a dead cert!
Titanfall 2 is dropping soon, so we took a look at what to expect for the single player gameplay and what are the new features for both Titan and Pilot.
Initially I wasn't planned to buy this game because the previous installment was only multiplayer, however, as it was given with a huge discount along with Battlefield 1 I decided to give it a try. Well, I glad I did. This game exceeded all expectations, in summary: Pros: 1. Campaign: it has a excellent story to tell, aided mostly for the good characters development. It was a feeling of the previous COD. You play along a robot "titanfall" named BT. BT acting is extraordinary in this game. When you play you will realize why I am saying so. The campaign is short enough, 7 - 9 hours depending in your skills. The pace is perfect, never get bored nor tired. 2. Multiplayer: I just play for few hours. It is solid. Very fluid, no lag, in second you are in a party. One of the best multiplayer out there. 3. Sound: It is impressive how well the sound has been designed. I highly recommended to play it with your home theater 5.1. Very very well. Cons: 1. Graphics: to mention one cons, i think the graphics are good enough but nothing impressive. And make sense given the intense scenes during the gameplay. Buy this game now to maximize your experience in multiplayer (a lot of people connected) or but it later with a huge discount if only want yo play the campaign. Highly recommended.
What an amazing Game this is,I love it,I really love the online play and I don't play online anymore, but this brought me back. I'm genuinely surprised how good this game is as it was never on my radar to play, but have to say Titanfall 2 is worth serious consideration if you're into this type of shooter. This is easily one of the best shooters I've played this year. Awesome game. Good job
Titanfall 2 includes a campaign, something that was missing from the first game. The middle of the single player campaign has two excellent levels that work perfectly with the game's mechanics, and that are both the longest levels in the game. The opening levels are pretty standard though still enjoyable as is one of the levels after the two better ones, and the last three levels are uninteresting due to the stage design and the boring Titan combat against enemy AI. The story and characters themselves are dull and collectibles do nothing and are just busy work that add nothing but it the high moments are some of the best in any FPS. The multiplayer is very good with a variety of modes and ways to customize your character look, weapons, and giving you different abilities to move around the map or to detect and attack enemies. The extra content being free is also a good bonus.
It's a real shame that EA chose to give Titanfall 2 little room to grow, releasing a week after Battlefield 1 with little fanfare or marketing. It's a real shame because the player base has now suffered for it undeservedly. This game needs more players because it is simply marvellous, and if you're ever thinking of getting it- stop reading and buy it now! The gameplay is fast- really fast. It's non-stop balls-to-the-wall action with speed boosting, wall-running and double-jumping that'll get that adrenaline pumping. The speed makes it so much more satisfying to be hitting your shots, with a wide selection of well-balanced weaponry and gadgets that cater to any particular FPS playstyle you're comfortable with. You can then shake the pacing up when you call in your titan, putting you in control of a lumbering juggernaut of awesome destructive power, with its own set of meaningful customization options as well. If multiplayer is not your thing, the single-player campaign is also very good! It's certainly a sight for sore eyes these days, as many shooter offline offerings are plagued with boring and uninspired encounters strung along by an uninteresting story. Titanfall 2 is anything but! There are very creative combat sequences in a 6-8 hour thrill ride, with interesting world-building and fun incorporation of all the loadout options seen in the multiplayer. What are you waiting for? Stand by for Titanfall!
When you think of First Person Shooters the first game that pops into your head is Call of Duty, or maybe one of the other 1000 games like it. The good news is, you don't need them anymore because Titanfall has perfected the genre. Not only is the gameplay satisfying, the game runs well on most systems, has an immersive ranking experience that keeps you coming back, and even has a single player experience that makes you feel like the best in the world. If you are in the market for a First Person multiplayer game where individual skill matters, and you get to drive huge Robot War Machines, then Titanfall is your new love. The only downside to this game is the limited player-base. Whether due to the amount of new games being released, or simply the poor marketing of Titanfall as a franchise, there seems to be a lull in active players during non "prime-times." This is in no-way representative of the game itself, but more likely a result of EA and Origin's involvement. Overall: The best multiplayer FPS Shooter experience on PC, a must-buy for anyone that loves adrenaline pumping action.
