The goal of the game since early development has been to allow the player to rule and do what they want, with the relevant consequences.
It is hard to rate The Realm of Aslona as it is currently in Early Access if you buy it treat it more as an investment rather than getting a proper game. The main problem is the lack of content. Game balance is also very annoying aspect of the game and this is my main concern right now. On the bright side, there are a lot of updates so clearly, the author is working hard to make it better. There is a chance for this title.
At first glance, Warsim: The Realm of Aslona looks like a primative game with not much value. Look past the simple interface, and you'll see an engaging text adventure that has you defend the kingdom of Aslona. The game itself is easy to pick up, and the hundreds of choices and paths you can take make it highly engaging. Did I mention there are randomly generated elements too? A lot of the content in this game is randomly created, and while that does sound chaotic it does add near infinite replayability and is a lot of fun to mess around with. So, despite the ancient appearance of this game, don't let it pass you by.
Warsim The Realm of Aslona is a text based game that uses text art to represent lands and people. You have five difficulty settings that start you ruling over different amounts of land and that start you with different amounts of money and soldiers, you can hire people to act as your retinue such as a spymaster, champion, and jester, mercenary companies can be hired, you can change the policies of your lands to collect more taxes or to raise and lower public options. You can fight wars against, make a truce, or attempt to vassalise other nations. You can receive visitors in your throne room that can lead to different events or decisions that can get people to join you or influence other nations. The game is still in early access with a lot more planned, for the low price it is worth checking out if you don't mind playing a game done entirely in text.
