WWE 2k16

The game is fun. I enjoyed this game. There was some bugs, glitches. Terrible commentary. There's enough of matches and charackters. I am a huge WWE fan. And I'm waiting 2k17 to came out on this website! Get it!

Better than before, Still a lot to be desired

This entry in the series is better than the port of 2k15 by far... however, many of 2k15's bugs have carried over, meaning they've focused only on adding a few customization options, match types, and roster updates rather than fixing what is broken already. This is apparently something that this series was known for even before its PC debut, and that's what is driving my review the way it is. CAW/CAS (Create-a-Wrestler/Create-a-Superstar) is a standout feature to me, and is elevated because of mods, being able to port in any MP3 as an Entrance song has led to some hilarious creations by my girlfriend and myself, and that has made me love this game. But be careful, if you create or download too many creations, your save file could be corrupted without warning, and all of your creations that are not backed up can be lost forever. One of the worst bugs to subsist beyond the previous entry and it seems to be swept under the rug to this day. I do enjoy the roster updates, I don't like that we get them late. It is nice, though, that we get the DLC for free because of this delay.

Great wrestling game

After WWE2K15 I gave up on this franchise, I traded hate emails with 2K staff and swore I'd never buy this series again. After learning that most of the creation modes were put back in the game, the chain wrestling has been scaled back and redone, I decided to buy this game. The graphics have improved tremendously, the commentary is a bit better (not perfect but less repetitive) and the roster is huge. The game boasts over 100 playable characters and you can create up to 100 more (yes even diva creation is back). All is not perfect despite the vast improvements. The game features absurdly long loading times, wrestlers look great walking to the ring but once the match starts--some look almost like a different person, and because the game is more simulation than arcade--the controls may feel sluggish to some, but all this aside this is the best WWE game Since the PS2 era (IMO). If you even remotely enjoy wrestling games than pick this up.

They still haven't caught up to the quality of the N64 wrestling games

At times the game has barely responsive controls with attacks frequently missing for no reason, often going through opponents, or hitting when they clearly missed (more so then any its wrestling defense would allow for). Doesn't teach you how to play in game, nor does it or explain it in the online manual it directs you to. Terrible commentary (though that seems to be in line with real life commentary), you will frequently hear an announcer talk about how amazing and unstoppable someone is while they have been on the ground getting beaten up for the last few minutes. Slow menus, takes a long time to create a character because even previewing items requires a long load. Poor counter system that seems to make the game very unbalanced. Too lazy to generate wrestlers for career mode and instead has you fighting much stronger opponents. Not very appealing graphics wise. Needs more career options when it comes to having the kind of character you want.
