excellent title

This game really delivers as a followup to the stick of truth. The superhero theme is fun. The class customization is deep and there are a variety of fun powers to use. The combat has been revamped and is better than ever. In addition to the timing based attacks , you have a grid system and an ultimate meter. The combat opens up a lot of new possibilities and I was pleasantly surprised at how deep it was. The visuals are top notch and indistinguishable from TV show. The writing is witty. The overall plot is cool too and has lots of twists and turns. I enjoyed every minute of it and the game is really lengthy.

Great game with some annoying flaws.

The Fractured But Whole is a game I wanted to be excited about, I wanted to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed The Stick of Truth, but unfortunately, Ubisoft made some strange decisions regarding this game. To use an example, remember the pooping mini-games from Stick of Truth? How you could go into a friends house and use the bathroom by tapping A? They've now made that mini game needlessly complex for no conceivable reason, and that really speaks to the changes to the game engine found in Fractured. They've gone ahead and messed with the chemistry of the old game by making everything a little bit more complex unecessarily, combat is not just turned based but also grid based similar to Tactics games, the simple real time action "flash" to string together combos or defend from incoming attacks in combat was changed arbitrarily. Even the simplistic task of adding people to your social media is now a mini-game where you take a selfie with a person. Why? Well because it can be, that's why! There doesn't appear to be any actual levelling mechanic in the time I've played I reached level 3 and had no stats or points to boost attributes or attacks, Towlie popping up every 5 minutes to tell you something you already know is so painfully annoying, I can't believe somebody in Creative thought it was a good idea to make that a pre-order bonus. The story of Fractured is well, Fractured. It seems like if you go into this game without watching the pre-release videos you're going to be lost in the story. From what I could tell, the argument that leads to the fracture in the group from that video released a few months ago is actually canon, but doesn't occur during the game. So instead of the story being self-contained, you'd better hope you've done your homework coming into this one. Could be worse but I was expecting something better, to be honest. All in all, the game have it share of amazing moments but there are some annoying flaws as well. I must admit the humor is simply amazing, very South Park like. The game time is also extended from the original part. Gold edition comes also with a season pass that will eventually unlock some story DLC in the future. Hopefully much better than the weak DLC Stick of Truth got.
