It’s a commonly-known fact that if you’re trying to overthrow a nasty dictator in a video game, you basically need the collective arsenal of a small country to get the job done. Like all the previous games, the weapons in Ubisoft’s Far Cry 6 certainly don’t disappoint in this regard, so we’re here to fill you in on all the weapons that you can use in your struggle against the villainous Antón Castillo and his seemingly-inexhaustible supply of gun-toting goons.
There are 91 weapons in Far Cry 6 – that’s a whole lotta bang-bang. There’s more than meets the eye with that total, however, as not only do all of those weapons fall into eight different categories, but there are “unique” variants of those weapon types. These provide not only a fancy skin, but exceedingly-good stats too. The eight different weapon types are:
Fantastic for killing enemies without creating a lot of noise. There aren’t many bows in Far Cry 6, but the ones you can get are fearsome weapons nonetheless.
Built for maximum damage, these launchers fire off everything from grenades to rockets, devastating vehicles and groups of enemies with ease.
When you don’t mind accuracy taking a backseat to just how many bullets you can fire per second, you know that LMGs (Light Machine Guns) are absolutely your bag.
Specially crafted weapons made out of whatever the rebels could get their hands on, Resolver Weapons might be ramshackle but they can sure put folks in the ground super quick to say the least.
Built with mid- to long-range combat in mind, rifles fill out the bulk of Far Cry 6’s weapons. And all of them – from the AK-M to the extravagant Death Rites – are extremely deadly.
Scandalously loud and with terminally-concussive stopping power, if close-quarters combat is your thing then the shotguns of Far Cry 6 have your back. And then some.
SMGs (Sub-Machine Guns) are trusty short-range firearms that provide a good balance of ammo clip size and violence throughput. Don’t fancy shotguns for a spot of close-range violence? Then the trusty SMG is your best bet.
Precision engineered for long-range death and destruction, the sniper rifles of Far Cry 6 are tailor made for those sharpshooters who like to do their gunplay at a distance.
