Alien Rage Unlimited is a very dynamic and demanding shooter that tries to be an old-school FPS with the use of currently used game mechanics. This is another shooter from Poland who can be known from Bulletstorm and Hard Reset, games relative in terms of origin, gameplay pace and spectacular gameplay. Alien Rage Unlimited also offers well-chosen sounds and music, together with well-designed locations, opponents, armaments and nice visuals, all this create a solid foundation for a good game.
I got into this game without knowing much of it, considering it "generic feeling". Turns out it's a quite entertaining sci-fi shooter action, without much of a real strategy mechanic behind it but quite good nonetheless. The assets are well made, the story is engaging for an action shooter game and all the enemies you'll encounter are alive and interesting. Worth the price in my opinion.
A short and unimpressive FPS with some major flaws, including: dead multiplayer, broken achievements, boring level design, dumb dialogues and one of the worst enemy AI I've ever seen in my life (most enemies and even bosses can be easily defeated just by shooting them behind corners). That being said, this game is still capable of delivering a few hours of mindless shooting fun, so if you see it at a low price, be sure to grab it.
If you like duke nukem, serious sam, or any sort of run and gun - it can be a lot of fun. Lots of people give this game hate but I think its quite a relaxing and fun game. There's like no substance to the story or anything but who needs that when you have huge ass guns and lots of explosions with great graphics. It's fun!
Played demo version which I enjoyed so decided to give a try to full version. How was it? Pretty good I must say. While playing I got this oldschool feeling - the way you fight with bosses and how hard this game can be. Don't get me wrong - I haven't played on most hard difficult level so I must say it's pretty good challenge. Graphics looks great, killing enemies is also fun. Even tho story is rather decent, it's still enjoyable. For a game with sci-fi setting - I must say it's rather good. There was few time when I had fps drops because of game, and had decent fun with multiplayer (trust me, finding a multiplayer game in this one is really annoying...) but that's all. If you want to enjoy some shooting in sci-fi themed game, get Alien Rage.
