At the core of Blackguards 2 is the conflict between Cassia – who starts a military campaign against the tyrant Marwan. Marwan rules the country with an iron fist from his throne in the city of Mengbilla. The ultimate goal of the game’s many turn-based battles is to conquer as much territory as possible and free it from Marwan’s influence, so that Cassia can claim the Shark Throne of Mengbilla herself.Read full description

Blackguards 2 delivers more brutal hex-based strategy and environmental puzzling while refining the original formula in several smart ways. The more open yet focused campaign, propped up by a fantastic central character who's as evil as you want her to be, makes for a satisfying if punishing experience. Though overlong battles and marathon sessions can become a slog, and you'll likely encounter some nasty bugs, there's still a great deal here to enjoy for strategy fans.
It's not a bad rpg but it's not the very best rpg either. I had a good time with it and completed the game without much difficulty. The plot is a little lacking but the gameplay was entertaining enough for me to keep playing till the end. The game only took me about 15 hours to complete and I would say it's worth a look for any rpg gamers.
The only reason I had trepidation in playing Blackguards 2 was the horrible bugs that made the first Blackguards unplayable. To my delight I had not one issue with Blackguards 2 and boy did I get a treat! The story-writing was amazing, with an iconic memorable fairytale that changes depending on choices you make in the game. Cassia's story is dark, and as a heroine or villain, she edges towards the brink of insanity. The SRPG elements are fulfilling, but not all maps are created equal. Sometimes obscure clues you pick up offer advantages during battle, but only if you can remember what was said. Overall, the game deserves a sequel and definitely a playthrough if you haven't already.
This was made to simplify the turn based style, classes, and attributes earned throughout. While there is plenty of new features, especially when compared to the previous game, sometimes it does suffer from being confusing like the game before. Overall, the game is better than the last and i would recommend it to any fan of the series or style. if there is one thing this game will do, is keep the gamer really busy.
For Blackguards 2 Daedalic wanted to facilitate some elements of the game but added a management component. The simplification concerns mainly the whole system of skills, abilities and upgrades. The characters of the game do not level up but earn experience points that we can spend in five different categories after winning every fight. There are power-ups for weapons for general skills spells special moves to be exploited in battle and passive skills. The real heart of the game rather than the management of the characters is given by the turn-based combat characterized by classic hexagons for movement and many new features compared to the first chapter. Arenas and game environments appear more pleasant, large and full of interactive elements such as bridges, traps, objects to break and switches to activate. Although the success rate of a spell is now much more credible (in the first chapter even an attack on two failed). Ultimately Blackguards 2 is a sequel good and superior to the first chapter a bit 'from all points of view. Less confusing, more dynamic gameplay richer management elements less frustrating in the fighting. A blend of RPG and turn-based strategy, with a plot and a setting is not trivial but a calibration of difficulty not calibrated at best, clashes sometimes soporific and poor graphics.
