Ceres holds some promise at first, but not enough for a good review. Upon taking a look at the screenshots, one might declare this game was made back in at least 2005, due to the (unusually) low-res textures and mediocre background/skybox. Still, if one is not into graphics, the gameplay is lackluster, unpolished, and it does not hold anything unique. Some issues persist while playing the game, such as poor interaction with the game world and navigation is clunky at best. AI behavior is also not well designed and tend to be more annoying than challenging. If this game was an early-access title, it would be far more understandable and forgivable but it's not thus, the price tag feels like a rip-off due to the lack of quality implemented in Ceres. Thus, I give the game a D for having a fairly interesting story but nothing else in the game shines when it should have.
