CHIVALRY: Medieval Warfare is quite an interesting, fun and sometimes odd medieval online game. You have to choose from two sides and battle to death in different scenarios and games modes with and against other players. Is pretty fun in the first couple of hours, but tend to be boring after playing on your own with strangers, that's why you should by this pack, as this have 4 games of Chivalry, one for you and 3 more for your friends, because playing with your friends is always better and fun.
I wasn't lucky enough to pick this game up when it was for free, so I decided to buy it. The graphics arent the best, but its 5 years old game so I didnt think about something AAA like. I am sad that there are no new updates but the multiplayer is still alive so I'm fine. I like that you can customize your character just how you want and you can also use lots of different weapons :) Great game overall ;) worth the money even though it was for free.
When I bought Chivalry during a sale for me and me friends I didn't think too much of it, I hadn't heard of the game at that point but was curious as it looked quite like a fun game and I was right! I don't like shooters too much as I am not a big fan of guns, but with Chivalry you always have a fair chance to fight back thanks to medieval weapons. To me the animations seem a bit clunky but that is the only minus in my opinions. If you play it, make sure to play it with some friends for extra fun, I promise, you won't regret that. No game made me laugh as much as Chivalry did with some priceless moments which most of the time included severing limbs and heads..!
Chivalry has a lot of potential. Enjoyable gameplay and mechanics, a truly great game that unfortunately the multiplayer part has some issues. You can play offline with bots, practice your moves. I'm thankful that it has this feature. Practice and you will be really good sooner than you think. It's mainly a multiplayer game (no campaign, unfortunately). Noteworthy feature: the dismemberment you can do while you slice your opponent. Raw and merciless, huh? Oh, here's a thing. Some servers do have some problems and some people there are annoying. There was one time that I joined a server, I didn't really play more than 10 seconds, and they kicked me out for no reason (internet speed was fine, come on...). If you find a good server, or if you purchase this 4 pack and play together with your friends, it's a guaranteed good time for you and your friends. It's just a pity that some servers are messed up. Don't think that the multiplayer isn't active or there's something really wrong with it, it's all good. The game doesn't get boring (or at least not so easy), and sometimes it's just better to gather your friends and play together rather than searching again and again for a good server.
This is a quick review. I only played a couple of hours. To me it seemed like the combat system was really hard. Try and kill somebody, get killed, try to block, get killed, try to run, get killed. It was only fun because I was playing with friends and they seemed to like my frustration. I'll update this review once I play more, but I can tell you it's very frustrating to start and not be able to do anything.
