Dead Synchronicity is all about the setting - you play as a man who has lost his memory and must survive in the post-apocalyptic world he wakes up in. Below the cartoonish art style lies a very mature story dealing with violence, virus infections, concentration camps, and so on. It's a shame that the storyline will only come to an end in the sequel though (the game ends with a cliffhanger). Technically the game is far from perfect - the animations are especially rough and amateurish, but this doesn't hinder the fun.
A Kickstarted point and click adventure game set in a post apocalyptic world. You play as a blankhead (person with amnesia) who must learn about his past by looking into a disease that causes people to see visions before dying in a rather gruesome way. Excellent artwork that gives the game dark and hopeless atmosphere and a good soundtrack. Most voice acting in the game is well done, the main character's voice is excellent, though tone changes can be very sudden between lines. The actor for the games more threatening figure The Hunter was unfortunately very poorly cast and some of the dialogue from him really doesn't fit well. Much of the dialogue and characters are well written. Puzzles are mostly done well and make sense, with a few odd choices, like needing to pry open a car door even though it has no windows and refusing to take an oil light with you when you need to access dark areas. You can quickly traverse areas and the game starts you in areas that skips forcing you to rewatch animations making it easy to get around and making it less tedious when you attempt to figure out a puzzle solution. There are moments where characters you should be able to talk to don't come back, people may ask you to tell another character something or you might have discovered something that a character would want to know about but the game never allows you to talk to those characters again. The game ends abruptly just as you discover an important, though obvious, fact about yourself and an important fact about the world. I hope that there is a sequel both to continue the story and because you discover an interesting mechanic that could be used for puzzles near the end of the game that you would likely see more of in future installments. Worth playing.
