This game is extremely poor. While the graphics are passable and sound is tolerable, everything else is incredibly bad. First of all, the controls are awkward and don't feel fluid like in Mario kart. Second of all, there is nothing to spice up the gameplay and all of the tracks play the same. Third, it doesn't use Garfield franchise in any meaningful way, it might as well be potatoes or pixel racing, since there is no character. Fourth, multiplayer is long gone and dead like the spiders Garfield smashes with the newspaper in comic strips, so there is no point in playing it, unless you will find another human being that will wish to suffer with you on the same couch, since it has co-op. Overall, this game is plain bad and Garfield is a huge miss with this one. Garfield would've worked better as telltale Walking Dead type of deal rather than racer, especially since he is incredibly lazy. You should be too about this game. Stay clear of it.
This game plays like a poor man's Mario Kart. It's fun if you like Garfield, but it has no sense of speed. Even at top speed, the game doesn't feel like it moves very fast, so you definitely don't need good reflexes or drifting skills. You can race, do time trials, or play battle mode, like in Mario Kart. There's various characters from Garfield to play as, but I didn't notice anything different about any of them other than their physical appearance. There's a handful of tracks that add to the replay value since it will take awhile to try out each one and find your favorites, but the game suffers most from being way too easy. The multiplayer is dead since no one plays, so buy it for yourself only to play against the AI or couch co-op against friends. There's better racing games out there, but this one is cite for kids and easy to pick up and play.
Garfield Kart is a Mario Kart style racing game. The game is also available on the 3DS and iOS and the PC version must be a poor port of one of those as the game ends up having frame rate issues, no controller support for menus, you can use in game currency to purchase boosts to use in races and the game will keep reminded you like it was the way to get money in the iOS version, and the game does not support online or local multiplayer. There are only eight characters but there are a decent amount of items to customize them and it does give a good amount of tracks at 16. If you are a Garfield fan the game does nothing to benefit from having the license other than name recognition. A poorly optimized racing game that only allows you to play single player, not worth your money.
