But ultimately, this game should be played with humans. Making an AI cry, when you cast a perfect die on it just doesn't feel the same. Anyway, learning the rules and the general feeling of the game is comfortable here, if nothing else. Oh, and it is challenging. I never actually made it to the centre.
THIS IS NOT THE VERSION OF TALISMAN THAT YOU SHOULD BUY! This was an early test version of Talisman that the devs never should have charged money for, and they especially should not be charging for what is essentially a bad demo now that the real version is out as a separate game on Steam. The big thing that this version is missing is that this is an adaptation of a physical board game that's designed to be played with other people, but there is NO MULTIPLAYER SUPPORT and also NO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE players - you just travel around the board alone, competing against NO ONE. This version might have been tempting for die hard Talisman fans before the real version came out, but now it's pointless. And it doesn't even run on Windows 7 64-bit - even if you add it to DEP! Probably because, again, this was an early test version which has been abandoned.
Talisman Prologue is a fantasy board game with rpg and strategy features. It offers a good experience while playing it as everyone might have felt playing board games. The main drawback in this one is that it is singleplayer only and playing board games alone is not fun even though the game is really good for what it offers. It is a game mostly to make you enter the game of Talisman: Digital Edition which is the main full game which you can play with other people. I wasn't into board games and in fact video board games seemed much stranger to me but trying it made me have a better opinion regarding this kind of games. Overall it's a simple game for this edition. I would suggest you buy the Talisman:Digital Edition and not this one.
'Talisman Prologue' is the kind of game that, thanks to the way it performs, feels like a good virtual experience (though maybe not as good as the real games with cards, dices and boards). It offers plenty of characters you can choose from, each one having his/her strengths and weaknesses, thus creating a different perspective on how to approach the objective. The card and dice system is pretty fun, as well as the fights with the numerous enemies you encounter (in case you're not lucky enough to avoid them),
