Just Cause 2 is the sequel of the underdog: Just Cause. While only a few played the first game, the second game got all the attention thanks to its marketing: Explosions, freedom and fun. Rico is back in the play, now hunting down what he called allies, with the friends he once called enemies. With the power of the new grappling hook, you can reach places that you couldn't before. Even if you finish the campaign, there's a plenty stuff to do after that, playing and doing random stuff. The only bad thing about the game I think is the voice acting, but meh, that's not so important to me. Recommended.
Just Cause 2 is similar to its first version, is third person and Open-World (although has a map which very larger than just cause 1 map). Its gameplay has grown a lot, with three mountainous, snowy, desert regions. Each of these areas has their own levels and players have to take over these areas. Just Cause 2 may not have been a good opponent for other games of 2010 such as God Of War III or Red Dead, but he has been able to comment with good graphics, beautiful sound and attractive, innovative and fun gameplay.
Just Cause 2 is an older that reminds the young years of Xbox360 era but it's still fun nevertheless, it's just got a bit dated in the graphics department but apart from that gameplay is still fun and definitely worth checking out if your rig isn't powerful enough to run the third part of this series.
Just cause 2 is such a fun game, that even if you try, you can't be bored while playing with it. In a way, it is the perfect crazy sandbox game. The world map is huge, the graphics are almost life like, and you can make lots of explosions. The grappling hook and the infinite parachute makes travel around the map pretty fun, and fast too. You almost feel like a cuban spidermam, or something like that. The story isn't that great, but the doesn't take it seriously anyway, and you shouldn't either. It gives you the opportunity, to fight ridiculous bond villains, and what more you can ask for?
When I first started playing Just Cause 2 I noticed that the voice acting is really bad. The island that you play on is huge but other then randomly destroying things there isn't much to do on a large portion of the map. There is a shop menu that allows you to buy cars, upgrades, ammo and weapons but for some reason the weapons are extremely expensive and you don't get to keep them as they disappear when you reload your save. Another problem with the shop menu is that it only allows you to buy one item at a time which can get annoying pretty quickly. The story doesn't take itself seriously which is good because of the voice acting issue. There is a grappling hook which allows you to climb buildings or tie things together which is fun but the hooks line does break quite easily. Overall its a pretty fun game but it does get very repetitive.
