Just Cause 2 is an awesome sandbox action game. It's like GTA but the world is larger and there is more destruction. I loved: - the gameplay (especially the grapling hook mechanics). - the physics. You will hardly get bored in this game with so much destruction that you can cause. - the multiplayer. It is ridiculous and funny. What I didn't like so much: - the story. I think it's boring and cliched. - the music. The soundtrack of Just Cause 1 is way better
Just Cause 2 on it's own provides a challenging storyline but it helps give you an open world adventure filled with plenty to do, However, when you enter the multiplayer world, everything expands. The people attack you, ally with you, fire rockets at you, you name it. It's an exciting game for any open world gamer.
So, I love this game and kinda hate it at the same time. It's fun to be in a Michael Bay movie - for only a little while. It gets somewhat old and tired, just running around blowing up stuff. The vehicles are great! Until you get bored because they all seem to be the same, no matter what they are. The story is interesting! But ultimately it's a bit cliche. So this game is great for about 5-10 hours, then it gets repetitive. Especially going into the different areas. "Discover" an area, shoot up a bunch of bad guys, blow stuff up, repeat. It just doesn't have enough differences to feel like it has replay-ability.
Probably one of the best open world games out there. When Just Cause 1 came out, it was fun, but deep down a gta clone that took place in a jungle with a few unique features. Just Cause 2 then made a total name for itself. From the insane grapple mechanics to the incredible map size, Just Cause 2 became a house hold name. And this game goes on sale for less than a Starbucks coffee all the time, so the price for value is astounding. I recommend this to literally everyone who likes fun.
Easily the most entertaining open world game i've ever played. While my play time on steam may not be very impressive, i have easily sunk 100+ hours into the ps3 version. I feel a full on review is in order for such a special game This game stands out from the crowd of open world games for many reasons, most notably the action. This game feels and plays like a cheesy action film. It's as if Michel Bay directed a film, and you were the main character. You can do crazy ???? like stand on the roof of a moving car while shooting at the tires on a cop car, causing them to spiral out of control and exploding in the most satisfying way possible. This is one of those games were you spend many hours ignoring the story missions and just making your own fun. You know what else makes it even more badass? You are equipped with a parachute and grappling hook, allowing you to glide around and grapple onto what ever you want. The grappling hook parachute combination is also one of the most effective ways to travel in the game because you can simply glide over any landscape you wish. It's also one of the most entertaining forms of travel. This game also has some absolutely wonderful visuals. The map 400 square miles of beautiful island landscape. I've spent quite a bit of time just flying over the island, admiring the visuals. As for the actual story, well it's not to great. Missions can be a bit repetitive and they are usually more tedious than anything. I found that this game, like many open world games, is most fun when you just forget the story exists. Overall, this game is fantastic and gets a 9/10, only just barely missing the perfect score due to a lackluster story and main quest line.
