The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is a good game and it's full of creative ideas, The first thing I can suggest you about this game is its tactical and attractive atmosphere. as you know, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is not a strategy like the previous XCOM games, and it's a tactical third-person shooter. Of course, the tactical part of the game is a sign of respect for the authenticity of the XCOM, because in this section, from time to time, the taste of certain XCOM strategies is made. obtaining missions in this game is exactly the same as I've already experienced in Mass Effect trilogy. In this way, you choose one from several main missions and among several people you select two as companions in the missions. Covering system, which became o common part of the third-person shooters and has been completely merged with them is very useful in here, In this game, you also see a flawless and flexible covering, and with the design of the environment, covering mechanics have come up well with the action of the game. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified it's game definitely recommended for all fans of the series and you should not miss it!
Ever since i got this game, i heard bad things about it. Some are true, the game is buggy, and is not really a XCOM game. But what you get, is a spin on the XCOM series, and it is fun to play. The action is fun, the skill are cool to use. Don't expect what Xcom E.U. was. Just enjoy the game for what it is.
If you want to play a real xcom, play XCOM 1 or 2, this is a bit more call of duty style, but maybe you wil like it, it is enjoyable as well and it has a nice story
To be honest, I don't really like the 50's, or fedoras, or the x files, but i loved mass effect, and Xcom is certainly one of my all time favourite games(400 hours and counting) so i was really excited for this title. When i finally played it....well.... The overall story is a little better, then enemy unknown, I give it that, at times it is even smart. The supporting characters have more personality, and walking in the Xcom base is fun, and talking to the base personnel is something i rather enjoyed, despite the fact that my palm started to hurt from constant the fist bumping. The management part is somewhat familiar, but in the barest sense, and then, they deploy you, into combat. While it's never boring, to blast aliens, especially those bastards, who killed so many, of my beloved soldiers in the past game, here it is almost too easy. Sure, sometimes they got me, and i lost one man during the game, bit that's it. This game offered almost no challenge, compared to Enemy unknown. And the other thing...my filed team...couldn't care less about them. In the other game, my Squad by the end of the game was close to me, but these guys...I only remember that all of them were male...and wearing fedoras.
Third person combat that feels like it was copied from mass effect. However, the exception was that Mass Effect was actually fun. The Bureau seriously disappointed me in how it played. Not to mention, the story was extremely lacking. I didn't like the setting most of all. I wish it was in the regular xcom setting with the soldiers you see from the Xcom 1 games. Visually, it looks nice. Gameplay wise, it was dull. The ai was never intelligent enough to kill me on the highest difficulty level and the same goes for your "ally" ai. You had to simply do everything yourself.
