This is a very good game, don't expect something like Jak & Daxter or Banyo Kazoiee because it's very different and I'm not sure that this game should be called a 3D platformer (I think this game is better described like an action adventure game). This game delivers some platforming(sadly, with AC controls), some combat and some puzzles, none of them is done great(all of them works well), but every one is delivered with the perfect pacing that makes a very satisfying game, even if none of the gameplay parts are very good. Now, the things where this game is oustanding: it's very good written, the music is awesome, and. like I said previously, the pacing of this game is very good. FInally, I have to praise its writting: this game presents very mature themes in a simplistic and kids friendly way, have well developed characters and a consistent storyline.
A joyful platformer with cutesy sounds and attractive visuals. Controls are easy enough to master and there is even a separate difficulty level for kids! My kids adored the game from the first time they set their eyes on it, the world is so charming and well made. You can sympathize with the characters and their problems. The colors and the ease of play kind of reminds me of Rayman Legends but much more of Crash Bandicoot, I'd say. Very much a spiritual successor to Crash, I'm sure. Overall, the game is very pleasurable. Highly recommended to everyone who still have their inner child alive!
You will find yourself exploring the environment of this game as one progresses though it. The map itself a huge and there is plenty if side quests to keep the gamer busy. Because of this however, the gamer may feel confused as to what the main point of the story is and if they are even progressing it or doing the side missions. Thankfully, the gamer need not worry about controls because they work well and flow throughout the adventures at hand. The art is well done as well as the gamer will not feel as though a color-in job was done. Overall, pick this game up if one is interested in it or find it on a discount.
Although it seems more a platform game, The Last Tinker is much friendlier for exploration. Although not revolutionize the genre, this game meets very well the mission to rescue this style of play that seems increasingly forgotten by the producers. The scenarios are simply gorgeous, with strong and bright colors making the player fall in love for it. The game's story is a little confusing because there are many side missions, a huge map to be explored and also some fixed goals. With all this the player ends up getting lost with so much variety. The controls work very well without locking in no time which facilitates pros players. I recommend this game to everyone, and although it seems a childish game he is facing all public and certainly adults will also enjoy.
