Duke Nukem Forever
Duke Nukem Forever is finally here! Put on your shades and prepare to step into the boots of Duke Nukem, whose legend has reached epic proportions in the years since his last adventure. The alien hordes are invading and only Duke can save the world. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses can’t stop our hero from accomplishing his goal: to save the world, save the babes and to be a bad-ass while doing it.
The King arrives with an arsenal of over-the-top weapons, non-stop action, and unprecedented levels of interactivity. This game puts the pedal to the metal and tongue firmly in cheek. Shoot hoops, lift weights, read adult magazines, draw crude messages on whiteboards or ogle the many hot women that occupy Duke’s life - that is if you can pull yourself away from destroying alien invaders. With hours and hours of over-the-top single player action, and a range of bodacious multiplayer modes, rest assured knowing the fun will last. Duke Nukem was and will forever be a gaming icon, and this is his legend.
The Darkness II is the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2007 release The Darkness. Inspired by the popular comic book series produced by Top Cow Productions, Inc., The Darkness II is an intense first person shooter that puts you in the role of Jackie Estacado, don of a New York crime family and wielder of an ancient force of chaos known as The Darkness.
It's been two years since Jackie used his power to kill the men responsible for his girlfriend's murder. He's been unable to shake the memory of Jenny's death since bottling up The Darkness and now it wants out. A botched attempt on Jackie's life opens the door for The Darkness to reemerge, and sets Jackie on a brutal and personal journey as he unravels the mystery behind the attack and the motives of The Darkness.
If you have missed the bundles with The Darkness 2 and want to try the laughably bad recent Duke Nukem game this might be worth your money. Duke Nukem Forever manages to combine the now outdated and out of place elements of the old with the worst elements of newer games, while making both areas even worse than normal. It can be entertaining to see how bad it got, you can see how impressed they were by their tech years before the game released when you have to drive little cars around and knock over objects with effects that would have been impressive when the game first began development. The Darkness 2 loses some of the personality of the original title but is an enjoyable shooter with some fun powers and a co-op mode if you have someone or multiple people to play with to play with. If this is on sale and you are interested in The Darkness then this can be worth a buy.
