Worth a shot

For an obscure developer this is a pretty nice game in the good old genre of post-apocalyptical world. The commands are simple and the storyline is pretty straightforward, so its nearly impossible to get lost on the stages.

Worth It for The Price

If your looking for a cool arena game like this one, I recommend checking this out. The gameplay is great, not as bad as expected, and it's pretty smooth. The character are cool and quirky, strange at times too. Very interesting game this is. The context, the story, is cool and all, it's nice and it can keep you interested in this game. You can get into this game. The arena is great as well, I really like this whole game's idea and they did a pretty great job bringing it all to life, the maps are alright. It's also fun to mess around with things in the game, maybe explore and do other cool things. There are some cool little details to discover. I think it deserves a small playthrough, it's a well done game.

Very Bad

This game is bad. The physics and storyline aren't unique. This game could be called your run of the mill games. The game doesn't proves to be scary, there aren't too many weapons and at times, the game can be very hard. Sometimes the player can get stuck at moments that should really be open to see and find out the way to go. On sale, it wouldn't be so bad to get it, because it is very cheap, but otherwise this is a bad game.

Not as bad as expected...

When i bought this game, after reading some reviews, i started to regret my purchase. I figured it was probably terrible. But, after playing it... it's not. It's not amazing by any stretch, but it's certainly not terrible. First off, the graphics, while not amazing, do lend themselves well to giving off a post apocalyptic vibe. Everything is shiny and bright, and once outside, it all seems grim and desolate, which is how it should be. The gameplay is... eh. The gunplay isn't very good, which doesn't matter much since all you'll be doing with guns is waiting until your health is at ten or lower so that you feel like you aren't wasting ammo, since they barely ever give you any. As for the melee, it's... okay. If Dead Space's melee system was a bit more complex, that would be this games main combat system. The story is weird. Don't want to spoil anything, so i won't say anything more than that, but suffice to say, it's very odd. The Atmosphere is fantastic. The game actually does do a pretty decent job at setting up a survival horror atmosphere. There are games that have done it better, yes, but for an indie title like this, the atmosphere is done very well overall, being quite creepy in some places. Overall, Afterfall: Insanity is a game that i'd say was overlooked a bit. While it's not an amazing game, it's not nearly as bad as reviews would tell you, and i'd actually say it's pretty fun at times. I'd recommend picking it up if it's ever on sale.
