A Normal Lost Phone is a game about exploring the intimacy of an unknown person whose phone was found by the player.
The game takes the shape of a narrative investigation: you have to search the phone's text messages, pictures and applications, in order to learn about its former owner. Through this phone, you uncover Sam's life, friends, family and relationships, until the evening when they turn 18 and mysteriously disappear.
A short but sweet game that tells the story of its protagonist through their abandoned phone. It's a fairly linear story and the puzzles aren't too hard to work out (although it being 2am, I did have to seek help at one point, lmao). The story itself is very bittersweet, but I think the developers did a wonderful job of telling it through the medium--the conversations accessible through the various apps. The artwork is gorgeous and the soundtrack is absolutely wonderful! This game isn't for everyone, and it lacks replayability, but it is an LGBT+ game with just enough amateur sleuthing that it'll keep its target audience entertained. It's reasonably priced for what it is.
A normal lost phone is about you finding the smartphone of a stranger, and instead of calling the number next to the the name "dad" or "mom", you start investigating, which in the real world would be really inappropriate, yet i have to admit, it is strangely exciting. The game itself actually looks like the menu of an android phone. Scratch that...a smartphone, period. It's operating system works just fine, it could be mistaken for a real one easily. It has music, pictures, and even some apps, that i never knew existed in real life. You will know what i'm talking about when you get there. In it's heart, the game is a story driven puzzle game. The puzzles themselves are not too hard, but difficult enough, to make you feel smart, when you solve them. Even if you don't figure them out instantly, there are tons of things to explore, and the conversations really make it look like the npcs really do exist. The game is sadly rather short, it only takes a few hours to finish it, and get every achievements, yet for this price, it's long enough. I highly recommend it for anyone, who likes adventure games, and a good mystery story.
Normal Lost Phone is a simple exploration game, but with a story that has an excellent plot that attracts attention, since the loss of our phone is something that can happen at some point in our life. Surely many have never thought about what happens with our cell phone and the data it contains after the loss and the person you find. Well, this game gives us an idea of that. The game only gives us the perspective of the person who finds the phone, we can explore its content and get to know deeply who is the person that lost it and his life
