Great OST, but better with game

Dave24

AER Memories of Old is pretty decent game, yet another one trying to push games into art, and art direction and music could be considered art, because together, in action, those are top-notch. It is different and incredibly relaxing game, made just for your enjoyment and to calm down your senses. It is a type of game that you just sit down with and relax. Atomsphere, whole mood, graphics, plot and sound blend together perfectly, creating a really nice experience. The strong and best part of this game is how fluidly the music changes according to what is happening on the screen and how beautifuly it fits with everything happening on the screen. And that is somewhat the problem, because while in game the music is incredibly powerful, just listening to it without context is just not as great experience. It just lacks "the game". I guess as a relaxing mix tape it might work if you didn't play the game, but once you played it, you will just miss the eye contact with this game while listening to it. It's almost like Weird Al music - it is nice to listen to, but without the music video it is just not the same and not as great of a fun to listen to. It is not like Cuphead, where the music is made to be catchy and entertaining, this is tied to the game forever. Some people might enjoy it, but it is not as enjoyable without the game, which on its own is great. I recommend to get the game instead, just to fully experience the music. Just buy the game instead.
