Game description

Arkshot combines the fluidity and skill of an arena shooter with the lighthearted fun of a party game. It's Quake meets Duck Game. Unreal Tournament meets Smash Bros.

Armed with only a bow and arrow, challenge up to 3 of your friends on 14 unique maps, with 5 gamemodes to choose from. Grab powerups to gain an advantage over your opponents and become the master of the arc shot.

Don't forget to customize your character with unlockable masks, bows, and taunts to make yourself a foe your opponents will never forget.

Key Features:

  • Ballistically-modelled arrow physics that offer a unique challenge to the jaded palette of FPS gamers.

  • Wildly differing level structures that are anything but your typical maze of brown corridors.

  • A plethora of game-changing powerups, such as bouncing arrows, decoys, a reflective bubble shield, caffeinated coffee booster and pusher arrows.

  • Latent tactics and emergent strategies that reward inventive players.

  • A Stamina system where actions such as jumps, dashes and drawing back the bow all cost effort and require canny management.

  • Sky Arrows that rain down on campers, denying them the option to skulk like wimps in hidey-holes.

  • Hooded characters that have no feet and just float along, eerily.

A really great game to play with friends

This game is really great. I'm not a fan of FPS games and I generally don't play games that are multiplayer but Arkshot is the kind of party game that makes it worthwhile to pick up. There are several game modes including "King of the Hill" and "Capture the Flag" and my personal favorite "Headhunter". Along with a dozen or so maps of varying sizes with their own added challenges on top of the game mode. Also the powerups are really creative and interesting. For example, the punching arrows can knock *you* back as well as who you shoot at from the kickback. While there are no differences in the actual character models, you can change your color and wear fun masks as well as choose your bows (bows and masks are aesthetic only and change nothing about your build). While you can join public matches that are open anytime you can also make a private room and play with up to 3 other friends. It's really great to test your skills with people you don't know and friends. In short, I HIGHLY recommend this game, It's really fantastic.

Bowtastic

Arkshot is what I describe as an "FPS-twitch-arena-shooter" and it is crazy fun. First, I didn't expect this much but you can actually customise your character which is a great plus for any game! It's not simply the clothing but also your taunt, bow, and your mask. The devs really put the effort in the game to make your character unique unto yourself. The gameplay is so fluid, I loved jumping around attacks and hopping on every shot my friends makes. It makes gameplay not only fun but funny for myself and my friends. This game is just perfect for the casual to the most advance player because there are moves that are basic such as dashing to advanced movies that have you jumping on arrows. The only problem with this game is the content. There are only five game modes, and you can't customise the rounds at all. Hopefully the devs add more content to the game in the future. Other than that, I think the game is a great first person game that has really outdone itself in making the bow one of my favourite weapons.
