Well made turn based MOBA style game with fun and varied characters

Atlas Reactor is a turn based strategy game with some MOBA style elements, that can be played against online opponents or against AI with human or AI teammates. Gameplay is turn based and involves you playing as one character in a team of four against four other characters. Turns are split between four different types of abilities prep, dash, blast, and move with abilities classified as each playing out in that order, possibly with free abilities thrown in as well. Each turn you can choose to use one of your five abilities and move, or you can just sprint to move further. Prep moves might involve powering up allies, shielding yourself, or laying down a trap, dash abilities will typically be used to get out of the way of enemy attacks but depending on your ability might also allow you to do some damage or cause negative effects on enemies, blast moves are typically your main damage dealing abilities. Each move might have a cooldown where you will need to wait a few turns to use it again and your most powerful ability requires energy which you can gain from attacking enemies or through passive effects. Catalyst ability mods are available for each hero and allow you to choose between a few different effects for your prep, dash, and blast abilities, you can choose one for each type of ability and they will give you a passive benefit when you use those, allowing you to choose the effects that fit your playstyle. A free version of the game is available but you won't have all the content unlocked and can only play as six heroes with rotating availability, for $27 you can unlock all the games character and the ranked and custom game modes, the Ultimate Reactor Edition will get you additional skins and cosmetic items including some golden age skins that can't be earned in another way. There is an Overwatch style menu where you can view each of the 21 characters and can see what you have unlocked out of their taunts, skins, ability modifiers, ability effects, and you can check profile items you have unlocked. Playing the game and leveling up will grant you loot boxes with three items in them but free players are limited to opening one every 36 hours. It's a well designed game that is fun to play and that has entertaining heroes with diverse personalities, looks, and play styles. You can try out the free version and buy the lower priced base game but if you want to support the developer or have an interest in some additional items you might want to buy the ultimate edition, and if you want some unique skins.
