Game description

The eccentric architect Baron Wittard has built something really special: a city inside a building. This monumental pleasure dome, called 'The Utopia', features 1000 apartments, a shopping mall, and hundreds of offices and leisure facilities. All under one roof. Its grand opening was supposed to have been two year ago. That event never happened. A chain of mysterious events has now left the Utopia abandoned and silent.

People have gone missing. Electromagnetic disturbances are increasing. Armed with only a camera and a torch, you must journey there alone to explore its winding corridors, its secret passageways, and its gloomy halls. Local townspeople say Wittard kept a terrible secret. They speak fearfully of someone or something malevolent living at his city. They say it is waiting and growing in power. They say time is running out... players will have to face the lurking horrors of this desolate place and find out what dark secret the Baron kept from the world.

Trying to be scary too hard...

Barron Wittard is as an adventure game trying to be a horror game. Which is it worse point. It would be so much fun if it didn't have so much cheap scares. Though, the atmosphere feels right for the game and the art is really cool. The soundtrack is creepy too. But the game is not scary in any way. Just depressing. I did not like that even one bit. The story is bad and hotspots are bad. But if you look past those issues Baron Wittard is fun, but depressing, adventure-trying-to-be-horror game

Baron Wittard review

Baron Wittard has a really poor plot for a graphic adventure. The story,in fact, serves only to throw the player into the game to solve several puzzles. The city inside the building looks like old games, except that this game is new. The hotspot are not so easy to find, and in many cases you will write with your pen some vital clues, unless you want to make several travels among locations. If you want a good game, try something else (like Rhem Trilogy),but don't try this.
