Rocksteady brought to live a wonderful work. This game is interesting as you play as Batman, trapped in Arkham Asylum with various super-villains. You can meet characters like: Joker, Bane, Poisen Ivy, Killer Croc, Scarecrow and of course, Riddler who thinks he is the smartest. In this game there is a lot to do, gameplay, story, graphics are good. Also game offers you to play in predator and combat modes, so you don't have to restart the game just to replay a certain section. Only the lack was the boss fight. Instead of fighting against *removed*, you get to fight against his minions. Overall this game is worth to play.
This game is fantastic. It's one of my favorite games of all time. While the combat is a bit simplistic, the stealth is phenomenal. You truly get to step into the shoes of DC's darkest Mary Sue and witness his overpowered toolkit and skill set. While this game is a bit clunky at times (an issue fixed in the sequels), it doesn't take away from the powerful feeling of being the Batman. And that's all we really want from this game, isn't it?
Batman Arkham Asylum is one of the best game that I have ever played (and I played A LOT). This game captures the concept of "Be the Batman" in a really perfect way. I really felt like controlling the REAL Batman when I played this game. Pros: + GREAT story. + GREAT gameplay. + GREAT fighting system. Free Flow Combat is the best fighting system that I've ever seen. + GREAT array of gadgets, allowing you to take down enemies with your own style. + GREAT sound. + GREAT atmosphere. + GREAT graphics, with quite a low system requirement. + GREAT characters and voice acting, the characters really felt like they are coming right out of the comics. Cons: - Camera angles when fighting the Scarecrow sometimes a bit annoying, but still acceptable. Overall: 98/100 BE THE BATMAN
Batman: Arkham Asylum is the Batman game you've always wanted. The fighting is top-notch and the stealth is satisfying, and the story progressions blends the two aspects seamlessly into a succession of encounters that will make you meditate every time on what approach is going to work best. Production values through the roof.
This is by far one of my favorite games to play in my free time! I enjoy all of the missions, the mix of stealth and story, as well as all of the gadgets. I love the joker, the boss battles, and so much more! My favorite boss battle is with the Scarecrow, especially with the fact that you had to hide from his giant eyes! Also, the gripes I have about the game are the A.I. alert radius, since you can easily evade an enemy from their view, only to have them literally forget that he was there. The bosses may be the only smart A. I. in the game. Regardless, the graphics are great and the story is phenomenal!
