What's in the Battle Brothers Deluxe Edition?
Just as the normal edition, the Deluxe Edition includes the game in its current Early Access version and all future updates up to and including the full game release. Additionally, all buyers will receive the complete Battle Brothers soundtrack as a digital download once it is finished and released. The game already features more than one hour of music with signature tracks for all the factions and places. The difference in price to the basic edition will go directly to the talented musicians who are creating all the music for Battle Brothers.

Battle Brothers is a turn based strategy RPG mix which has you leading a mercenary company in a gritty, low-power, medieval fantasy world. You decide where to go, whom to hire or to fight, what contracts to take and how to train and equip your men in a procedurally generated open world campaign. Do you have what it takes to lead them through bloody battles and to victory?
The game consists of a strategic worldmap and a tactical combat layer. On the worldmap you can freely travel in order to take contracts that earn you good coin, find places worth looting, enemies worth pursuing or towns to resupply and hire men at. This is also where you manage, level up and equip your Battle Brothers. Once you engage a hostile party the game will switch to a tactical map where the actual fighting takes place as detailed turn based combat.

Battle Brothers is a strategy RPG that puts you in charge of a mercenary company where you will recruit soldiers, decide what contracts to take, outfit your soldiers, and try to keep everyone alive as a death in battle will kill that character. When you start a new game a map is generated for you with different locations for settlements and terrain types. You start with a brief introduction and three characters with a trait of being the ones who started the company. Hiring more men will require you to pay their wages and different backgrounds of your hirelings may give them different positive or negative bonuses or might change some interactions during events. Your soldiers will level up in battles against humans, goblins, orcs, and the undead (each with different tactics, mechanics, and equipment) and you will be able to teach them new abilities and increase different passive skills. The graphics are simple but it's easy to understand how things work and the UI is the next thing that they plan to improve on. Battles take place on a hex grid where how you position your fighters and what weapons they are using is very important. The game may still be in early access but this is an early access title that people were able to enjoy from the beginning, and one that gets frequent excellent updates. A lot of content has been added since it released and the plans for the future should only make the game even better (main story, factions and reputation, more factions moving around the map with their own goals, etc). The Deluxe Edition includes the soundtrack for the game with the extra money going to the musicians, it's not going to get you much but this is a hardworking and talented developer, doing early access right, and they are worth supporting if you are willing to spend the extra money.
is a Turn Based Strategy open ended Sandbox game , the main primes of the game is that you play with a band of mercs in a randomly generated landscape in a country torn by war, you have different classes to choose from ,Scholar , Sorcerer ,Pirate hunter or beggar, you hire them for a first pay and they will require a weekly fee to keep them working for you, some of them might desert you anyway and some will stay with you even if you don't have the means to pay them, much like a mercenary would be in real life , you can equip them with many weapons that are available in the game and fight your enemies in the Hex Grid battle system in turn-based combat , and you get to upgrade them after each successful battle with deep and detailed level up system, you can increase their willingness to stick to battle and the power of their attacks , and there are talent trees in offense and defense making your characters have different roles in combat , you face different types of enemies ranging from other mercs to zombies and Orcs, all have unique combat styles that you need to deal with accordingly , for example orcs will charge across the battlefield and stun your unit for a whole turn rendering your affected merc useless, the game is very difficult with different quest objectives ranging from escorting caravans to destroying enemy outposts. the graphics are nice pixel art with nice hex gridded landscape that is colorful ,your soldiers need a bit more details in their faces besides the armor and weapons they're holding to differentiate them , the music and ambient noise are on point and they give the game a nice feel to it. this is one medieval combat game that you wont forget and easily spend over 60 hours playing like I did ,so it's totally worth your money.
