A BREATHTAKING SPACE ADVENTURE

Beyond Space is a cutting-edge 3D space shooter game that immerses players in the darkest plots in a similar vein to the best Space Operas.

Scores of planetary systems, nebulas and asteroid fields to explore. Fully detailed 3D Graphics, mesmerizing, beautifully painted spacescapes, spectacular special effects, and rendered glows, lights, sun flares and reflections.

All of which intensified with an ambient yet dynamic soundtrack and great sound effects.

You are Max Walker, a spacefaring adventurer and pilot-for-hire, who gets drawn into a galaxy-spanning conflict.

AN EPIC SPACE ODYSSEY WORTHY OF THE GREATEST HOLLYWOOD BLOCKBUSTERS

Our journey begins when Max Walker starts a contract with the Alliance of Planets and immediately gets drawn into a galaxy-spanning conflict.

His mission will take him beyond the reaches of space, while fighting many different opponents and meeting pirate overlords, scheming politicians, deceitful allies and ambitious leaders – all entangled in a space epic that will change the face of the galaxy.

Dive into this original story with its rich and captivating storyline localized in English with English actor-voiced dialogues and cutscenes.

TAKE CONTROL OF POWERFUL SPACEFIGHTERS

Aboard your ship, show off your pilot skills with barrel rolls and boost jumps, while keeping a close eye on your "Incoming" warning system and shaking off tailing enemies and guided missiles...

Unlock a great variety of ships in the Hangar and select your weapons, shields and afterburners among the dozens of items to create thousands of possible combinations… to face any situation.

SMART ENEMIES

Enemies in Beyond Space are smart and characterized by their AI. Different units perform their own battlefield tactics. Fleet Squadrons will gather to strike, whereas pirates will act in a more disorganized manner… making them more unpredictable.

Advanced AI with an adjustable difficulty level to keep all players on their toes.

Almost unplayable.

spiderhopper_hu

I wanted to love this game. So much so, that i decided against writing this review a couple times already. I love space fighting games, and there is so few of them, that i wanted this to bee good, and be successful. So lets start... Beyond Space is a game that looks like a lazy mobile port, and might actually be. The graphics are nothing special, but passable, and the characters are only seen as portraits, or spaceships. That wouldn't be a problem, but voice over is terrible, and their dialog is just...look, it's like it was written by a six year old, that somehow became the script for a porn movie, and this is the video game adaptation. There is one point, where the protagonists love interest dies, in a way, that it's so damn obvious that she will return as the villain, and the hero's best friend ask him out to hang, now that he has more free times right after it happens. And i would forgive all that, if the gameplay was passable. But of course, that's too much to ask. First, the controls range from ridiculously clumsy, to downright unusable. The menu has places, where you have to swipe, instead of clicking, and it never tells you. In the battle, you have a primary and a secondary weapon, but you can't use them at the same time. That is fair i guess, but why cant you change weapons with right click? Scratch that! Why cant i Shoot lasers and rockets at the same time??? I know why, because the mobile game had only one fire button...but my mouse have at least two!!! Also, you cant change speed. You cant slow, or stop, or control your speed in any way, except for the afterburner to fly even faster. There are buttons, to do this, they just don't work. After a certain level, you will have zero chance against slow moving large ships, or small ones, that can outmanuever you. So yeah...at best, this game is so bad it's good, but it need improvement even to achieve that. If you want this, Make sure they fixed at least the speed isssue before buying.

Unexpectedly good

A good game! The graphics impress, the missions are well balanced, the integrated soundtrack is great and really makes you feel like you're in outer space. Very well done! A good choice if you want to be entertained, without a doubt. The only negative point it has would be the cumbersome selection of options in the main menu and in the selection of ships and components of such ships. Have to hold down and drag, which can be a burden if you use a slow computer. I would recommend developers to replace it with the classic method of putting a few arrows that you press and the ship alone is placed in the next option. But apart from that, the game itself is a blast

Extremely frustrating mobile port.

gmgtochuje

Beyond Space is a mobile port and it shows. Controlling on the pad would be quite good if not the fact that every moment the ship itself slows to a minimum, and after pressing the trigger it shoots endlessly. This is not a simulator unless you consider it a Dark Souls in Space. Seriously the game once throws a mission that beats itself, and later another which is practically impossible to beat (mainly because of boss-fight). The choice of ships and equipment is an artificial task because if you do not choose the best you're basically doomed. Very frustrating.

Nice space shooter unless it crashes...

Szat

It was hard to decide what rating I should give to Beyond Space. It's a quite fun space shooter with a bit of short campaign. Some missions are pretty hard, others can be accomplished for the first time. The main cons of this game is the fact that it freezes quite often (I have Win 8.1 64 bit, I don't know if it crashes on other OS or not). If you like this genre, then I recommend buying it, especially when it is on sale. If not, don't buy it, and you save your money and avoid the anger caused by the crashes :)

Spectacular Space Shooter

ruready12

Beyond Space is truly a must-buy game. The graphics, while remaining low-budget and easy to run, show multiple complex levels of detail and hard work. The gameplay is astounding and I have yet to run into a single glitch in my 30+ hours so far. Gunplay in Beyond Space is stellar and the weapons alone on the aircrafts provide multiple hours of fun. The story is rather interesting and is coupled with a very detailed and complex AI system that tracks your every move and gets much smarter as you progress further into the game. The best part however, is how unbelievably supportive and kind the developers are about the creation of this fantastic game, as shown in part by a price so low it really feels like you're ripping off the developers. All in all, Beyond Space is a fantastic hidden gem that I would recommend to anyone looking for a new favorite game in their Steam library.
