BioShock – one of the greatest games of all time – is now on the Mac.
Set in an alternate 1960, BioShock places you in the middle of an underwater utopia gone badly wrong. With a provocative and intelligent storyline, this is a game that is alternately beautiful, thrilling, funny, frightening and always involving. An experience that makes you think while you play.
Award-winning – BioShock has won numerous game of the year awards and features in Metacritic's top 10 highest rated games of all time.
Genre blender – Combines a clever mix of genres: First-person shooter with elements of role-playing and stealth.
Superb visual style – An art deco world with advanced visual effects combine to create a creepy, immersive environment in which players can lose themselves.
Sophisticated concept and story line – BioShock incorporates ideas about science and politics, raising profound questions about human nature, the role of government in society, and the morality of harming individuals for the greater good.
Replayability – No two gamers will play BioShock the same way. Players are encouraged to explore all the nooks and crannies of Rapture.
Exquisite sound design – Outstanding voice acting helps drive the narrative. Music from the 1940s and 1950s echoes through Rapture's abandoned hallways.

The game is a unique experience when it comes to visual experience. It is hard for me now to quote some productions showing the world at the bottom of the ocean, maybe, because such productions simply do not exist, and BioShock is one of a kind? The filled rooms with propaganda posters and the old school radio streaming through the radio only enhance the experience we relive through the Rapture corridors.
I never liked single-player games since i felt like the histories were boring and actually i still think the same, but this doesn't happens with bioshock it's the first single-player experience that could catch me from start to end, with some very beautiful graphics and art style an amazing style of game and of course the best history i ever played everything with the best soundtrack ever made for a game, if you haven played this game you are missing one of the best games that will be ever made
The songs that play on the radio and jukebox are contemporary to time. The game is set in the 60s, so it's quality music, and combines well with the dark mood of the game. There is a good variety of enemies, but could be higher because the variety of firearms are giants. Beautiful and dark scenarios, all done in minute detail. The difficulty of the game is average, and you can change at any time what I think very good because you are not bound by a hard the whole game. The gameplay means slow and difficult, but with time of getting used to. Recommend the game for everyone, because the histótia is very good and engaging, and the scenery is beautiful.
