Blockstorm is a FPS game set in a world made of destructible blocks.

The voxel nature of characters and maps and the in-game editor allows you to fully customize your game and quickly share your experience with other players. You are free to create your own maps and characters from scratch or to customize existing ones. All maps and characters included in the game are made with the same tools that are available to the public.

Weapons range from precise rifles to heavy machine guns or even explosives capable of destroying hiding places and creating tactical advantages. You can pick out your own load out, choosing between a set of weapons configured by the creator of the map.

You can build everything in Blockstorm, and you can destroy it.

Great game, but the community is dead

It's like Minecraft with guns, looks similar to Ace of Spades and other blocky FPS shooters. Has fun gameplay, great customization (you can make your own gun/skin models, they can be very detailed), and a decent amount of gamemodes. However, there's one huge problem - the game is dead. At the time of this review, I could find 10 servers with a total of 29 players playing. The game is fun but unfortunately the community is... pretty much non existant. If you can buy the game on a sale (for maybe 2-3 Euros) then get it, otherwise there's really no point in buying this if you can barely find anyone on the servers. I unfortunately can't recommend this game at full price. The developer needs to find a way to attract more players because at this rate, this game is gonna be completely dead in a matter of months.

Fun and attracting

I would like to recommend this game to users who are real guns maniac as the recoil in this game is much higher compared to CS:GO and all other shooting games. This game also have many different types of mode. For example, Deathmatch, TDM, CTF, Assault, Castle Battle(Hardly anyone plays) and lastly Hunt(Nobody plays them). You can customise the weapon/ character for free and normally gamer like me would not despise this game despite the lack of map as we would play hours in them. For example, in CS1.6 i have played more than 1k hour on them in CS1.6 and i'm still enjoying it. Thus, I would recommend this game to shooting game fans as they will also be able to built their own guns/ swords or even their own map.

Like if CS:GO and Minecraft had a child

This is a very nice game to play and have some fun. You combine many guns and itens to make your class, your character, and your strategy while playing. You can build and destroy everything you want in the map, which allows you to play every match in a different way. And there are skins in the game, gun, equipment, and character skins, all them for FREE! You can make your own skins or download them from the steam workshop, so you will see many players using many different skins in game. If you like first person shooter games like CS:GO and sandbox games like Minecraft I'm sure you will enjoy Blockstorm.

Blowing up blocks.

A nice game where you just go around shooting everyone or blowing things up. There are editors for maps and equipment which I like changing the colours of. personally I like blowing random tunnels up using some C4's (shovel works better). The game is more enjoyable that I thought it would be. The game uses up very little internet (I have extremely bad internet and I can play it with no lag. It is just a fun game that is good for running around. The map editor has all the items you need in a game mode and you can fly around making any objects you want to. There isn't too much content yet though so maybe wait till a little later so that they can add in some more weapons (some different melee weapons). It is definitely a fun game.

If COD and Minecraft were both fun

This game took two of the most overblown games, Call of Duty and Minecraft, and meshed them into one. That bein said, I'm surprised it's not more popular. It's nothing spectacular, but it's a pretty fun alternative to something like TF2 for only a few bucks. It won't blow you away, but you won't get much better for the same price (sales notwithstanding).
