Choose to fight through the single player campaign as either a member of the Resistance or the Security and then take your same character online to play cooperatively or competitively against other players.
Blurring the Lines
Take your unique character online at any time you choose! Brink allows you to seamlessly move between your single player campaign, co-op with friends, and intense multiplayer action. Multiplayer takes the story online where you can play with up to seven other people (or AI characters) cooperatively as you take on the opposing faction or with up to 16 players competitively.
Brink uses the familiar shooter controls that you’re used to, without frustrating, artificial constraints and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you press the SMART button, the game dynamically evaluates where you’re trying to get to, and makes it happen. Whether you’re a seasoned FPS veteran or someone just getting started, you’ll be able to make more intelligent decisions during the fast-paced action with SMART.
Context-Sensitive Goals and Rewards
Objectives, communications, missions, and inventory selection are all dynamically generated based on your role, your condition, your location, your squad-mates, and the overall status of the battle in all gameplay modes. You’ll always know exactly where to go, what to do when you get there, and what your reward will be for success.

On paper, this game was really good idea. Mix of parkour, classes and FPS in multiplayer mayhem sounds like incredible idea, but what killed this game was execution. It was incredibly buggy and as for the single-player... it was pretty non-existent and incredibly short, with nothing interesting happening. Also multiplayer itself was kind of weird with no real multiplayer objectives, but rather single player. Barely a month after release, and the servers were already empty because of it. But nothing is lost, though, because this idea got perfected in Black Ops 3. Overall, curious piece of history to try out when on sale.
I bought Brink when it first came out, and all I can say is I wish Steam had a return policy at the time. The game was rather frustrating to learn as characters died very easily and fast, most powers took far too long to unlock and actually create class diversity, and the levels get samey and boring very fast with very few maps. The parkour system was OK, but it didn't seem particularly special. Weapon choices are incredibly limited. Submachine gun, another submachine gun, shotgun that doesn't do jack, and that's pretty much it. AI is simultaneously awful and too good. Challenge maps required to get many of the unlockables can be nigh impossible at times because they ALWAYS know where you are. Because you have low health and die very easily, it will likely lead to dozens of attempts on a single map. Overall, I can't really recommend unless you want a watered down TF2 that thinks it's a better story than it is.
Awesome game with good voice acting, characters and such. The multiplayer is gone so don't buy if you want to play with people. The bots are really fun and the gameplay is very fluid.
From the makers of famous Enemy Territory, you should expect many things. And they, at some point, deliver really good game. It's much more complex than ET game. It's so many options for weapons, skills and we are responsible how we will lead our character. This game lacks two things - better stability (even at great PCs it can works sometimes bad) and... some more fun. I would love to spend another 1000+ hours in ET but Brink... well, it's not the same feeling you got while playing Brink. You can also see there aren't many people playing it, so it can be sometimes hard to find any people to play with together. It's hard to say, but few free to play games are much better... Maybe if you got bored with free to play games, you can try Brink out.
This game was massively hyped prior to its release. What we got was an above average shooter with some zany character designs. It controls pretty well, it's fast-paced, and a pretty good time. It has a vibrant color scheme and a pretty awesome aesthetic. unfortunately, it failed hard to meed expectations and has been quickly thrown to the wayside because of it. It's not amazing, but it's still a good, fun shooter.
