The Only Worthy CoD Trilogy.

The story continued from CoD4, didn't change much, kept what was good, fixed what was broken. The formula worked! Such a great game, I had bought for both PS and PC. I ended up playing more on the PS since the PC version had much less people and most matches had cheaters (Nov. 2016 currently this game has around 1000 players on average). As online is where all the replay value is, there's not much left in it. Story mode is very good and worth playing through it again from Mw1 to Mw3. The online has a ranking system and prestige with many weapons to choose from with skins and attachments being unlocked the more you played, which kept players like me online for days. Overall this is one of the best FPS out of the Modern Genre, not much can compare to the hype of a modern world call of duty that relates to our current world.

Best war FPS game

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is one of the best action war games I've ever played. It always keeps you on the edge of your seat and you'll never get bored playing it. I don't remember doing the same thing again. The game is constructed in a movie-like cinematic style. The drama never leaves the scene and everything happens in front of the player's eyes - even the cut scenes are viewed from first person perspective. The story is outstanding and full of surprises. The music is composed by Hans Zimmer - it's amazingly well written in a way that contributes to the feel of war and drama and brings you even more into the action. The multiplayer is competitive and really entertaining. I definitely recommend playing through the single player campaign if you'd like to be driven into its aggressive military world full of dramatic events and and breathtaking scenes.

Best Call of Duty game

I got to admit it took me a lot of time to start playing Modern Warfare 2. Actually, I played it for the first time almost three years ago from when it was released. I didn't like the first establishment much, and I just kept hearing how good this one was. I started playing it and began to understand all the good reviews about the game. Yeah, Modern Warfare was more of the same, but so well done you didn't expect it to be that good. Modern Warfare is like being part of an action movie, with everything blowing up and you running between explosions almost every single minute. Story is also good, but that would be the least of your concerns. I didn't like the first one much and I loved this second part so much. Still my favourite Call of Duty game ever, so, there is something unique about this game you can't describe with words.

Coop Fest

The reason I bought MW2 is for the coop SpecOps mode, and I wasn't disappointed. SpecOps is wonderful for someone like me, who typically doesn't play competitive multiplayer, and who has maybe a half hour at a time, three or four times a week, to devote to games. Grab a friend, and SpecOps offers tons of variety in bite-sized chunks, with the incentive to keep playing to beat the most difficult three-star level in each challenge. One caveat: both you and your friend must have quite fast internet, or SpecOps becomes a lag-fest. All the coordination of physics and AI means that it runs significantly worse than competitive multiplayer on the same network. Other than SpecOps, the campaign is fun but forgettable, and the competitive multiplayer is layered and fast (but very frustrating for someone like me, who is not competitive enough). A good buy.

Save yourself the trouble

What to say about MW2? Well it's old. The graphics are dated, but not as dated as the newer release. (which should say something) The singleplayer is what you expect from CoD. An over the top railroaded FPS with a weak story. Still it is amusing to play through, you can probably finish it in 6 hours on hard mode. But the real selling point is of course the multiplayer. Which sucks big time on the PC. No more dedicated servers, no more server browser and apparently they forgot the anti-cheat as well. All those promisses that we would have a lag and cheat free multiplayer experience? Well it's all a lie. The MP has been taken over by cheaters. And I mean the blatant ones who even advertise the cheat they are using. It doesn't help that it's a peer-to-peer system either. More often then not you'll get paired up with someone who is on a 2400 baud dial-up connection. He get's 0 ping and you, well you'll be watching the respawn screen a lot. Give this one a miss.
