Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Ultimate Edition is the complete edition of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, a dark and vivid new re-imagining of the Castlevania mythology. It is the end of days and ungodly powers isolate the Earth. The world's alliance with the heavens has been threatened by a dark and malevolent force - the mysterious Lords of Shadow. Across this shattered land, the souls of the dead wander unable to find peace, whilst creatures of evil wreak chaos and death upon the living.

Gabriel Belmont is a member of the Brotherhood of Light, an elite group of holy knights who protect and defend the innocent against the supernatural. His beloved wife was brutally murdered by the evil forces of darkness and her soul trapped for eternity. Neither living nor dead she realizes the horrific truth of what is at stake and guides Gabriel to his destiny and hopefully salvation for the world.

Great game played it on Xbox 360 and now on PC.

This one is amazing, if you like linear fixed camera 3rd person action adventure AND it's also Castlevania. then you'll love this one. They went all out for this game. The graphics are still good, the story is awesome and the combat is just really cool to look at. It feels very long (finished in about 20 hours tho), it just keeps going on and on, but in a good way. Every chapter has a different setting, it doesn't get boring, but can get a bit tedious with some of the puzzles which feel like a useless task. But I really enjoyed this game. The start of the game is slow and could get you bored by the pace killing stages, but it only keeps getting better and better. The game have fixed camera, but it just enhances the visual of the game, showing incredible detailed scenarios. The boss fights are amazing and the combat mechanic is truly great, rewarding skill and precision, where a simple Skeleton can kill you if you play poorly. The best part of the game is the Vampire Castle with the climax being the Vampire Lord boss fight. The game still takes hours to complete. Recommended.

Castlevania meets Hideo Kojima.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition is simply an incredible game with great graphics and smooth, comfortable controls (although it is highly recommended to play on a gamepad). It offers an addictive storyline. The wide variety of attacks and combinations that are the basis of the combat system make the seemingly prosaic pursuit of building up combos really fun. The biggest disadvantage is the lack of an open world but with such a complete product it does not significantly affect the whole. The game requires some backtraking to unlock all the equipment but it's done in an user friendly way so getting all the items was a pleasure.

Excellent return of Belmont family

It's another hack and slash game just like God of War and many others, with the twist being your weapon is a whip, and it's used to its full potential just like it was back in the good old days of Super Castlevania IV. Graphics are beautiful, soundtrack is simply amazing, gameplay is a lot of fun and gory, and story, while little little shallow and played out by other games, is also good - there is something special about it, but this might be because of incredible voiceover work. Basically, this game is a mix of Casltevania (lore, atmosphere, whip), God of War (fighting system) and Shadow of the Colossus (huge bosses that you have to climb and hit their weak point) and it's actually perfect. As for DLCs, those are not bad and actually build up a sequel pretty good and give additional couple of hours. Overall, great game and if you like h'n's genre, you definitely should pick this up.

Fun action title

This is a reinvention of Castlevania in the mould of God of war. There's a focus on brutal combat and cinematic setpieces. It works well for the most part. I really enjoyed taking down mythical creatures and exploring this mythical world. The game drags on a bit too long though, and starts to get repetitive. It is a blast otherwise though.
